@athelene Hi! Required ba na 6 months ahead to apply ng student visa before the term starts? I'm flying to Australia kasi this May 25 and pagdating doon mag aapply na ako ng Student Visa and mag ssubmit ng application sa school. Do I have enough time if July start ng term?

@camillegomezz No, typical time to apply is 3 months before. In my case kasi I had to apply early because I wanted to have my medicals done abroad. You should have applied for your school way before kasi it's possible na matagal ang processing both ng school admission and student visa (you need to secure your eCOE to apply for student visa). I'm not sure if you can attend classes without your student visa (if ever maaga ang start ng classes). Are you entering AU on a tourist visa?

@reilmarie pano po mag-borrow sa niner? I'm done with the my ielts na po kasi so I'm not sure if nag-aaccept sila. I need 1.1 M po kasi as show money for my student visa

@Ajit22 Hi as long as hawak mo yung blue card mo pwede ka humiram kaht tapos ka na sa ielts mo.

Hello! If nanghingi ba ng additional documents/nag verify ng document ang embassy, next step na nun is visa grant? Cause yung case ko pinapa adjust lang yung date ng OSHC ko, though di ko din gets cause ang start ng school ko is july 2 until august 31, 2019 and ang OSHC ko is july 2 - november 1, 2019 pero pinaadjust parin nila. @abbygailmbn Hi, you should contact your OSHC to adjust your coverage date until October 31, 2019 and submit the new OSHC policy to DHA. Tell your OSHC provider that DHA calculated a different end date of the course. With a July intake, your visa will end two months after your studies, which is on Oct 31. DHA is strict when it comes to dates so your OSHC should match the end of your studies+2 months extension, because that's the end date of your student visa.

@abbygailmbn Since they didn't grant the visa directly, I assume hindi pwede kahit one day difference sa dates. But minor issue lng naman yan, so I think it'll be fine. 🙂 Good luck!

@abbygailmbn maybe because your OSHC should start way before your class starts because it is expected that you arrive before the start of your classes. At least 2 weeks before.

@jeshanevelez Eto yung naging process ko, I tried to be as accurate as possible sa dates:

Dec 2 2017 - Took IELTS

Jan 4 2018 - Sent application to Macquarie

Jan 22 2018 - Received conditional offer, pending GTE checklist form (inclusive of financial declaration)

Feb 28 2018 - Received offer to apply for MBA in University of Sydney (since nagkaron ng other opportunity, hinold ko muna yung application ko sa macquarie to weigh my options)

March 22 2018 - Flew to Sydney to sit in MBA classes of both unis para magdecide, and went for Macquarie

April 10 2018 - Sent all pending docs to Macquarie for GTE

April 13 2018 - Got full offer

April 17 2018 - Applied for scholarships

May 2 2018 - Scholarships granted

May 3 2018 - Paid tuition fee

May 7 2018 - Purchased OSHC

May 8 2018 - Received certificate of enrollment, finished GTE statement and other docs for visa lodgment

May 10 2018 - Lodged application

May 11 2018 - Visa granted

Mag-pre departure orientation na ko next Monday sa AECC 🙂 These guys are really recommendable and super helpful. 🙂

@Mia PM kita sis. Masters by research and doctorate lang kasi nakalagay sa visa grant niya for unli hours of work pero sa VEVO nakalagay is unlimited hours for masters or doctorate. Ano ba sa inyo nakalagay?
