We just found our first home in Brisbane
- route is through agent which is the usual
-the unit -not posted for ads , off the grid
- got the contact number in the property management office and enquired about any openings or lease to expire
- current tenant is a friend of a friend ( it helps sino kilala mo in my case, tenant and agent are in good terms)
Here is my journey:
🏡 Brisbane Rental Search
📍 28 November ‘25 – Arrival in Brisbane
• Online search for rental properties commenced, focusing on areas near a friend's residence
• Locations with strong convenience and lifestyle benefits were prioritised, including:
✦ Proximity to schools and educational institutions
✦ Nearby marketplaces, GP clinics, and other essential services
✦ Easy access to the motorway and reliable public transport options to the Brisbane CBD
🔍 6 December ‘25 – Property Inspection & Application
• An in-person property inspection was conducted, and the property was deemed suitable
• The rental application was submitted on the same day
🎉 16 December ‘25 – Lease Offer Received
• A formal lease offer was received, outlining payment terms:
✦ 4 weeks' bond
✦ 2 weeks' rent payable in advance
✍️ 18 December ‘25– Lease Finalised
• The Tenancy Agreement (TA) was signed, and bond lodgement was completed
• The lease was successfully secured
