Peyt when I lodged my EOIs back in May 2025, I was only thinking of submitting EOIs for visa subclasses 189 and 190 (one each for VIC and NSW) but since the November 2025 invitation round there have been no invites for my nominated occupation. So that's when I thought of considering submitting EOIs for visa subclasses 491 as well since I would have other chances of getting in the system. So my advice would be to submit EOIs as well for visa 491 because you'll never know the invitation rounds for visa subclass 189 and 190 will remain competitive. One tip, submit different EOIs for each of your visa subclass (i.e. one EOI for 189, one EOI for 190 VIC, one EOI for 190 NSW, etc).
