@liam in paying the membership fee, you shall be entitled for the benefits such as follows:

you get the nationally recognized membership (unlike if not, migration purpose only)
you unravel the monthly subscription to "CREATE" EA journal issues
you can avail the membership ID card and be issued to your postal address
you can join technical conferences and technical paper access

This comes to a membership payment fee that others do not prioritize. But in my case, I want it as an additional means for me to immerse and get involved to engineering practitioners here.

There is a separate mean of acquiring engineering practice professionally that is by being a "charteted engineer" if that is what you mean. Though, you can still acquire engineering job as a profession without being chartered, at the end it boils down to your choice and experience. Here in Australia, it is absolute that to become an engineer here, it takes an australian local experience and employers to prove your worth - an investment of professional time and even additional engineering education

Non pro license in Ph. Took theory exam here in adelaide, ayun nkatsamba. Pede drive for 3 mos (validity ng temp license), mgdriving lesson ako nxt month 3 hrs, then will take practical if mkapasa full license na. @Captain_A

@admt2016 need ko pa kaya mag DKT (driver knowledge test)? According to the lady officer here in DOT Midland upon presenting my LTO card license, I am good to drive for 3 months na. Thanks as I knew, I just left to take is just the practical test.

Gagawin mo from theory test to practical for you to get your full license. After passing the theory test, temporary driver's permit lng hahawakan mo together with ur PH license, valid for 3mos only. Within those 3 mos u need to accomplish everything to get the full license. If not, bbalik ka from the scratch meaning learner, P1, P2 to full. That's what the ServiceSA told me dito sa Adelaide.

Baka ang sinabi sayo na 3mos is mula pgdtng mo dito as migrant yes you are allowed to drive na PH license lng for 3mos, after that u have to convert to AU driver's license. Hindi na kse ako pwde sa 3month rule nila kse mag 5 mos na kmi dito. Kaya kelangan na tlga ng AU license.

@jedh_g thanks for the input. Just wanted to ask if you have already received your certificate from Engineers Australia and how long? My husband had also applied to be a member of EA and just waiting for their mail.
