actually pede na sya iconvert. tinanong na nga ako kung gusto ko na daw ba simulan ang procedure sa pagconvert. kaya lang ayaw ko pa kasi kailangan ko pa ng praktis.

nag cue kasi talaga ako at nagtanong sa desk. ang savi kasi nila accept daw nila yun as long as meron kang letter from the consulate verifying your license. pinakita ko lang yung red ribbon na LTO cert. then sabi nila ok na daw yun.

bagong driver lang po ako @Captain_A . kumuha din ako nv international license pero sabi nung nakausap ko sa counter sa vic roads broadmeadows ok na daw yungbroadmeadoung receipt lang. impt lang ying red ribbon ng dfa. yun yung sinasabi nila dto na letter of verification from the consulate.

@aja5810 : salamat sa info. tama ba international DL ang knuha mo hndi ung regular DL lang nung ndto ka sa pinas ? regarding sa LTO DFA cert ? saan ko ba ito pwede irequest ? kung saan po ba ako kumuha ng DL tama po ba ? sayang dpat pala International DL nlang dn kinuha ko.

International DL ba ang kinuha nyo?

kumuha din po ako ng international drivers license. sa atin sa aap kumukuha ng intl drivers license. requirements lang po dun eh passport size pic, receipt ng lto at 3500php. yung lto dfa cert. sa lto main lang po sa atin sabihin nyo lang po cert of license at ipaparedribbon nyo po. ipapadala na mismo ng LTO sa dfa ang cert for redribbon. sa dfa nyo na po pick up ang cert with red ribbon. @Captain_A @DreamerA

sabi naman ng vicroads di naman daw required yung intl drivers license. ok na daw yung cert of license plus yung receipt. ang dasal ko sana lang maging consistent sila hanggang sa pagconvert ko ng license

Guys, dito mismo sa thread that I made (page 1, you may back read). I stated the steps.

I don't think you still need a Philippine issued international driver's license like AAP.

LTO driver's license will do even if provisional paper lang ma-issue as long as not expired.

For back-up purposes, you may proceed with the red-ribbon process which took me around 2-3 weeks based on the date stated by LTO to claim at DFA.

Anyway, for ease I will just paste it here again:

LTO PROCESS:

1.) Go the East Avenue, Diliman Quezon City LTO main branch.

2.) Secure an application form. You may locate the application window inside the chapel.

3.) After filling up the form, present your current LTO driver's license for verification.

4.) Photocopy your driver's license. Photocopying machine is located outside and attach.

4.) Proceed to cashier for payment. (Make sure your name reflects the same as application)

I paid around 495 pesos for the LTO fee. Applicants were not that much as I came there.

5.) Claim stub shall be given. This shall be presented next to DFA on specified date.

*Note: DFA schedule is set a week after

DFA PROCESS:

1.) Proceed to DFA, Aseana Roxas Boulevard. (Make sure at least 2-3 weeks after LTO process)

2.) Find the drop box for "LTO" where you will drop your LTO claim stub and proceed.

3.) Wait until name is called. The DFA shall call you using a public microphone and proceed to

designated window.

4.) You will present your ID ( I had used my LTO driver's licence ) to verify my name accurately.

5.) Wait until name is called. A window officer shall give you attached document. Check it.

This comes with an official DFA receipt.

6.) Proceed to cashier for payment of fees. This comes cheap at PHP 100 only.

7.) Wait until name is called for the claiming of your DFA authenticated certificate. This appear

as a document with red ribbon on its left most corner of the paper. Check well before you

leave DFA premises.

@Anino78 i did. dumating naman pero sa home address namin sa pinas ko pinasend kasi uuwi din naman ako. ayoko lang mahassle pumunta pa sa main office ng LTO. ako na ung naglakad ng dfa authentication kasi kailangan pa nila ng special power of attorney to do this.

btw, tiga-SG ka rin pala @Anino78. if you still have time, i would suggest na pa-convert mo na ung PH license mo dito if qualified. you just need to pass the BTT test and show to them na nakuha mo ung license before moving to SG (dfa authentication is not required). tapos with an SG driver's license, ang alam ko is direct convert sa australia (or at least this is what i am aiming for pag lumipad na ako dun).

@studio719 nagemail ako sa kanila about my enquiry sumagot sila once tapos nagreply ako na gusto ko i-confirm ung mga required documents na i-email ko sa kanila hanggang ngayon di pa nagreply (2weeks ago ung last email ko sa kanila) parang natakot kasi ako kasi baka pagbayad ko mag-MIA sila bigla.

@studio719 yes sir I know kaya lng ang problema ko is kaka-renew ko lng nung july and until now wala ako nung card. sabi nila required daw ung card for conversion hindi daw pwede ung OR lng. actually sabi din ung iba hindi na din kelangan ung LTO cert kasi sa ubi di naman daw hinahanap un kasi sa lisensya natin mismo makikita ung first issuing year.

nag start na po ako ulit mag knowledge test. hiningi po ang drivers license at ang pinakita ko po eh yung drivers license certificate from dfa since receipt lang meron ako. so far tinggap naman po. nakapasa na ko sa knowledge test. hazard test naman po next. sa sunshine melbourne po ako nag knowledge test.
