@jomar011888 congrats in getting your ITA. Where is your relative located? May mga factors kasi na involved at depende sa situation mo kung better ba na mag antay ka ng 190 or 189 like occupation, points, etc.
for 189, depending upon your occupation and points, you may not get invited straight away lalo na kung kasama sa capped occupation ung sayo like accountants, IT, engineers, etc.
for 190, depending din sa state na kung san ka nag-apply ng SS. each state have their own processing time and it varies plus the state may have extra specific requirements for the occupation (like points, experience, etc.)
Yes, if you are granted 489, you have to satisfy the 2yr live and 1yr work in the same designated area where your sponsor lives. Just want to clariy, if your 489 is via relative sponsorship, it is not called "regional" but "designated" areas wherein much wider ung scope ng locations where you can live and work.
For example, if your relative sponsor is in Victoria, for purpose of 489, the entire state of Victoria is classified as "designated area" meaning you can live and work in Melbourne metro and the rest of Victoria.
Unlike if you for 489 via State Sponsorship, you have to live and work in "regional" area (this is not applicable to you).
Again, its up to you what do you want to do but consider the changes in immigration that have happened in the past, in general, its getting tougher and tougher to come here. Also, consider the time, money and effort that you are willing to exert if you will take PTE (what if hindi mo makuha ung score na required).
At the end of the day, don't waste the opportunity. So many people in this forum waiting for their ITA and very much happy to go via 489 just to get in to Australia.
Cheers!
