Hello everyone,

There was supposed to be an invitation rounds earlier today (May 10, 2017) but unfortunately i wasnt invited. Just want to check if there were invitation sent out for other occupation.

Heres mine (probably reached its ceiling)

FYI your occupation is under the group 2335 (233511: Industrial, 233512: Mechanical, 233513: Production or Plant) which were among occupations that were under Pro-Rata restrictions in 2016-17 program which were closed until the next year program. Your EOI cut-off date is an important detail on which you can anticipate your ITA (invitation to Apply).

Here's the last two invitation rounds details:

April 12, 2017- EOI cut-off score: 65 points, EOI cut-off date: Nov. 19, 2016, Number of invitations: 34 ----- https://www.border.gov.au/WorkinginAustralia/Pages/12-april-2017-round-results.aspx

For example in my case: EOI score: 65, EOI date: November 23, 2016.....No ITA yet since the last 65 points round cut-off date is November 19, 2016, just only 4 days more to go. haays!

Since our occupation is in-demand and there are several EOI's on queu. A 60 pointer most probably will not be invited for the upcoming invitation rounds. If you are a 65 pointer, and just lodge your EOI this day, estimated ITA will be on January 2018. If you would like to get an ITA soon, you must raise your EOI points.

@levimervin wow thank you for the information. I dont mind waiting till Jan 2018 however there are rumors that our occupation 233511 would be removed from the MLTSSL (SOL) this coming July 1, 2017. Any idea about this?

@freeiann - the right statement for that is <i class="Italic">there is a possibility that it will be removed depending on the outcome of the official list that will be released anytime soon by DIBP.</i> The three occupations in group 2335 were already flagged from previous program years (I think since 2014-15 program). This means that these occupations maybe removed in the future depending on the outcome of reviews made every year by Department of Education and Training. Submission of Reviews from different accessing authorities (Engineers Australia, ACS, VETASSESS, TRA, CPAA, etc) will be made every November. The outcome to the reviews will be then released between every May or June for the next program year starting every July.

I had few information shared regarding our group, just read on the thread.

Since April 19, 2017 changes, our occupations 233511 and 233513 are among 16 caveats occupations that will only limited to 189, 485 and 489 visas. We are not eligible for 190, 457,.....visas. <i class="Italic">233512 is not included in the caveats occupations.</i>

Base on the outcome on the approved 2017-18 Australia Federal Budget last Tuesday, Peter Dutton (Immigration Minister) announced that migration number of intakes for 2017-18 program will still remain at 190,000 places (same as last year program 2016-17). http://www.minister.border.gov.au/peterdutton/2017/Pages/budget-2017-18.aspx

DIBP has more than 30,000 places behind their target numbers for this year program, so if they are going to remove these flagged or caveat occupations, most likely they will fall short as well.

That is my hypothesis, I hope I am right then. Let's pray that our occupations will still remain on 2017-18 program.

Hello question po. I was planing to submit my EOI end of this month with a possible 65 points, then I saw this http://www.border.gov.au/WorkinginAustralia/Pages/10-may-2017-round-results.aspx Nakasama po ako sa pro rata occupation tpos nakalagay is 75 points. Ibig po ba sabihin nito is di nko pwede magapply with 65 points? And if so, will this point requirement go back down to 60 again pagdating ng Jan 2018? Sorry medyo malabo pagkakaintindi ko po dito.. salamat po sa sasagot.

@jouneytoaus You can still apply, but it might take some time before you receive an invite. There's no telling if they'll go back to 60, depende sa skill mo. For accountants, the last EOI invited with 60 points was ages ago. If you can provide your nominated skill maybe we can give you a better idea sa timeline of invites 🙂

@jiomariano Software Applications Engineer po. I was aiming to have 65 points by targeting IELTS 7.0. Now po based dun sa post nasa 75 na bigla.. 🙁

@jouneytoaus If you mean Software and Applications Programmer, the last 60 point EOI that got an invite was way back in 12/12/2015. If you manage to get 65 points before July, I think you're chances for an invite later this year are good 🙂 Stiff lang talaga ang competition kapag patapos na ang financial year, pero yung 60 points mukhang hopeless na talaga. Kung nahihirapan ka sa IELTS, you can look into PTE Academic, madami success stories dito sa mga nagtake nun, isa na ako hehehe

@jiomariano salamat p ng madami. Yes po Software and Applications Programmer. Now I know I need to wrap up my EOI submission before July. Pero ok lng din po kung early next year po. Yun ung orignal target date namin. Pero baka may changes ulit so we will try to wrap up before July. Yes po PTE tlga ang balak ko kunin.. meron kasi ung online study materials that includes, I think, 1 or 2 mock exams.

@jouneytoaus The earlier the better, di natin alam mga pwede mangyari kaya mas maigi ng makauna ka 😃 Madami nga online materials for PTE, and malaking tulong yung mock exam, 3200 nga lang sya kaya may kamahalan din hehe!

Hello po, tanung ko lng sana if may bearing ba sa pag-approve ng EOI or application ng visa 189 kung currently wala ka work??

More than 8 years na experience ang credited ni Engrs Australia as Telco Network Engr po. Kso currently unemployed ako for 1yr 2 months na, busy asikaso for Visa 189 prerequisites/documents. Kasi kung needed to be employed at the time of application, kailangan ko na din magtrabaho pla before submit application.
