Hello po sa mga 489 visa...
UPDATE!
489 visa holder hindi nyo po kailangan kumuha ng Private Health Insurance dahil
Entitled po tayong mga naka 489visa sa medicare. Kagagaling lang po namin sa centerlink and 2-1/2 weeks mareceive na namin ang medicare card.
Difference of 489 versus 189&190 visa
489 visa - color BLUE
189/190 visa - color GREEN
Benefits - thesame
489 Medicare has an expiration. Kung Anong year mag expire ang visa. Ganoon din ang expiration ng Medicare. Once na approve na ang 887 visa balik lang po ulit sa centerlink for "RE-Application of Medicare for Permanent visa"
Sana nakatulong po itong update ko. God bLess everyone.

Since we are not entitled for medicare, are you still paying the 2% levy tax? Can we opt not to pay this tax since we are not entitled by medicare? I just wanted to know how the process will be. Thank you and have a good weekend everyone! ๐ </blockquote>
Check medicare levy exemption from the ATO website..You dont have to pay coz you are not entitled of medicare benefits but you have to get a letter from the proper authority in your state stating that you are not entitled to medicare. This is needed if you are filing your income tax with the help of an accountant or if DIY pwede naman wala.
