489 visa to 887

Hello guys, question lang sa mga ka-489 na nag IE na..

489 holder din ako and making my IE soon... mejo OC lang po kasi and I'm looking at the immigration card on arrival.. may section na nasa screenshot, A-B-C hindi ko sure kung san ako under.. Do I thick "migrating permanently" kahit na for 2 weeks lang ako muna just to fulfill yung IE date? BM ko next year pa. Or I still tick B?

@koykoy Thank you, Yes sakto ung 2 years namen We applied for 887 then na grant siya ng October. Mabilis lang basta complete requirements

Walang health insurance required na nakaattach as condition sa visa 489. Its for your own protection in case na magkasakit/accident etc. kasi wla ngang medicare pa. Its up to you. You know how expensive ang medical dito Au.

Hello usually kapag naglodge po ng 489 gaano katagal? From pag invite to lodge ng visa? Im a registered nurse po, and gusto kong makita yung options with relative sponsorship, kasi mukhang matagal ngayon ang 190

@MissAussie iba iba ang time frame talaga eh. walang sure na sagot. kami approved within 1 month. yung whole migration process nmen 5 mos lang from. english test to immigration. nagapply kami ng 3 types of visa 189 190 tsaka 489. nauna maapprove ung 489 kya nag go na kami. ayaw namin irisk hahaha..

Hello guys, tanong ko naman. Visa 489 ako, at naka 2 years ng nakatira sa regional area. Pero sa work eh part time lang ako, mag 2 years sa work this coming May. Icoconsider kaya nila yun or dapat talagang full time na one year sa work? Thank you po

hey ubejam, you better ask direct from visa processing unit...try sending your query to gsm.business.support@homeaffairs.gov.au.. how many hours per week is your current part-time work?

@fgs thanks for replying 🙂 it often varies, its not really fixed. Usually in a fortnight it can be 50-60 hrs only. I'll email them & ask. One more question too, nabasa ko sa visa 887, under Location, sabi 'You must be in Australia when you apply for the visa & when a decision is made', ibig sabihin ba pag nilodge mo ung visa

at pinoprocess eh hindi ka pwedeng lumabas ng Au? Thanks 🙂

Pwede ka lumabas, if expired na 489 mo, don pa lang kasi mageeffect ang bridging visa A na ibibigay after you lodged your application, kailangan mo magapply ng Bridging visa B kasi walang travel facility ang BVA..If its time to approve your 887 and still you are away, papauwiin ka nila dito before the visa will be granted.

You can appy as soon as you fulfill the 2 years stay and 1 year fulltime work...pag nagapply ka kasi ng 887, magbibigay agad ng Bridging visa A na effective once mag expire ang 489 mo. In case kasi na nagapply ka ng 887 towards sa expiry ng 489 mo, magiging valid pa din stay mo sa Australia kahit expired na 489 mo while waiting for the approval of your 887. Pag nagapply ka agad ng 887 after your 2 years, di na din maaactivate ang bridging visa mo dahil siguradong approved na 887 application mo before pa mag expire ang 489.

Yes..its worth doing it even if its not listed on the requirements list. Most COs asked for it and if you dont submit before a CO will be assigned, it will further delay your application.
