@skyline thanks nagpa points advice na ko sa Vetassess para sure yung qualification points. sana umabot bago ako macontact ng CO. Last minute ito buti na lang nagbabasa ko sa forum

Hello Everyone,

I am not sure if this has been discussed before but I really need to get some help (insights) on the Educational accreditation. I am a graduate of Civil Engineering from a Section 1 school. Pag ganun ba, I still need to complete an assessment with Engineers Australia or does that automatically qualify me as an engineer? I hope someone who had the same/similar experience share some light top my inquiry. Thank you in advance for your respons(es).

@mark If you're claiming for points for a General Skilled Migration Visa and you want to be given points for the occupation you have nominated, you need to have your skills assessed as suitable for your nominated occupation before you apply. This is a separate requirement from your work experience/overseas education qualifications. :-)

@stolich18 does that mean I could get the Educational Point (15) + Nominated Occupation SOL (10) - if I pass EA requirements? Total of 25 pts? 😃

^ From the DIAC booklet 6:

Points are awarded for:

• age;

• English language ability;

• overseas employment;

• Australian employment;

• professional year;

• educational qualifications;

• Australian study;

• Credentialled community language;

• studying and living in regional Australia;

• partner skills;

• State/Territory government nomination; and

• Designated Area sponsorship.

Yung 10 points, bka you are referring to overseas employment na 5 years to less than 8 years, tama ba? :-)

Ay! Salamat sa information. So if I get assessed by an authorized agent, it just helps me get the approval from immigration but does not translate to points?

^sasabihin lang kase ng authorized agent na suitable ka, kase requirement sya ng DIAC pero yup tama si @LokiJr, wala syang points. :-)

Salamat sa information! I'll submit na sa Engineers Australia and hopefully they return back information before July1!!!

Just in case somebody is reading na nag pa-assess sa Engineers Australia, anung timing nung nag revert back sa inyo ang organization? Thanks.

Dati kasi may points kapag sa SOL or MODL da ti yung occupation mo. Since na implement na yung madaming changes mula 2008 e tinanggal na nila yung points na yun. I remember dati nung 125 points pa yung passing may 20 points ka pag nsa In demand list yung occupation mo sa DIAC and 60 poitns for the assesment pa lang. Iyun yung times na medyo madali pa yung application for immigrant sa Oz.

@batobats Question lang bro. Ano ba yung indicated na qualification sa ACS assessment letter mo? Comparable sa AQF Bachelor ba o AQF Advanced Diploma? O meron bang ganun yung sa iyo? Sa akin kasi may naka-indicate na "Your Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from [this university] is comparable to an AQF Advanced Diploma with a major in computing. Baka kako iba yung judgment ng DIAC sa assessment body regarding sa degree (asa pa ako).

@Metaform wala nakalagay na ganyan sa kin. problem ko yan dati pa kasi hinde makapagprovide ng opinion si ACS since hinde ako IT grad at wala din ako IT minor subjects. ito tanong ko & sagot ng CO.
