akala kasi natin pag ang assessment is equivalent to AQF diploma, pero BS degree nmn talaga eh mababa ang points..

So depende pa rin talga sa DIAC..

Nalilito pa rin po ako. hindi po ba basta may Bachelor's degree or Masters degree makukuha mo na yung 15 points?

Sa VETASSESS po ako, wala naman po nakalagay dun na narecognize ung degree ko, sabi lang "the qualification is at the required level"

Pano po ba yan? Sakto pa naman ako 65 points. kelangan po talaga 15 yung makuha ko. 🙁

Reply to @angel4ever: nung nagchange kasi ang points system last Jul2011.. sinabi nila na kailangan ng DIAC ang opinion ng assessing body about the educational qualifications..

but then take the case of @batobats .. mukhang approve naman na kahit walang nakalagay sa assessment result about your qualifications..basta positive ang assessment.. ung ibang kasi like EA, they will include that statement about whether equivalent to BS, MS or PHD ka in their letter..

in the end, DIAC still has the last say on giving the points.. so dont worry too much..

Reply to @angel4ever: wala ka na ba ibang mapagkukuhanan ng points like state sponsorship? ganyan din ako dati, nag-aalangan kung ilang pts talaga ako, kaya kumuha ako ng nsw sponsorship... isip isip ko nun mabuti ng sobra kesa sa kulang... opinion ko lang naman 🙂

Eto po breakdown ng points ko:

Age= 30 (26 yo)

IELTS = 10

Three years work exp = 5

Bachelors / Masters = 15

State sponsorship = 5

Total == 65

Waaaah, possible po ba hindi ko makuha ung 15 pra sa bachelors/masters?

Hello po sa lahat! Patanong naman, naghahanda pa lng ako for degree assessment at litong-lito na ako. Eto po info ko:

BSc Industrial Engineering (UST) - makakakuha na ba ako ng 15 points dito? Tapos may Master's din ako (MBA) kaya lng wala naman ang MBA sa Schedule A, so mas may chance po ako kung yung Industrial Eng'g ang ipapa-assess ko, tama po ba intindi ko? Or kailangan ko ba i-submit pareho degrees? Gano katagal po itong assessment (months? weeks?)? Kailangan din po mag-submit ng relevant experience para makuha ang 15 points for the degree?

Kailangan din po ba ang IELTS bago magpa-assess (to prove English skills) or pwedeng sa visa application na 'to? Naghahanda pa din ako ksi for IELTS pero gusto ko na sanang ipa-assess na ang mga diploma ko para alam ko for sure ilan ang points.

Reply to @brownie: are you talking about assessment for Engineers Austalia?

if yes, then:

a) assessment is both based on bachelor's degree and work experience...that is why it is not called degree assessment but "SKILLS assessment"...

b) Engineers Australia needs your IELTS result as part of the assessment requirements.. please double check the minimum required score...

c) you can get 15pts for education, based on your mentioned degree

d) points for your work exeperience will depend on the length of work experience and if your job/s is/are related/closely related to your assessed skill.. (if IE, sympre ung mga IE related jobs)..

Hi lock_code2004, thank you sa sagot mo 🙂 Yes, I'm talking about assessment for Engineers Australia. Kailangan pala madaliin ko na paghahanda sa IELTS. Isa pang question, yung mga recent work experience ko more of sa Business Admin na related kesa sa Industrial Eng'g (nasa 9-10 years ago na IE experience ko), pwede pa ba yon sa tingin mo? Thanks ulit ha!

I suggest check the IE ANZSCO Code job description, then:

a) compare with your work experience and the job description on your cert of employment,

b) if you can demonstrate those skills in your CDR (this is a requirement for EA assessment), then walang problema...
