ganun dapat. but, your skill assessing body will have a recommendation sa skills assessment result if your degree is comparable to a bachelors degree, diploma, etc. usually, pag section 1 they'll say na it's comparable to a bachelors degree here in au.

Hi. Is there another way to know if yung educational qualification is comparable to a bachelor's degree in AU? In my case, my school is in section 1 and I have PRC license. Im an Architect by profession and hindi ko alam kung kanino ko need isubmit ang assessment ko (AACA or VETAASSESS). I also dont know kung ano inonominate ko na occupation, Architect ba or Architectural draftsperson? Hope someone could help me in this.

@ca_pogi - search mo specific thread about archi or archi draftsperson..

based on their feedback, walang nakakapasa sa assessment ng archi grad from pinas..

dahil iba yata ang building codes/standards ng turo sa pinas...

so mostly nag-apply as archi draftsperson (under vetassess)...

regarding your educ qualification, based on several information at mga history ng mga member sa forum, most likely pag graduate ng section 1 school, it will be equivalent to an AU degree (therefore you can claim 15pts for that)...

fyi.. my housemates here in AU are also from sec1 school and licensed. they applied for archi draftsperson.. sympre nakapasa sila kasi nandito na rin sila eh.. 😉

kung sa vetassess ka, walang bayad ang PTA sa educ assessment (bs degree)... kasali na un sa assessment nila..

ang may bayad na PTA eh yung mga work experiences mo...

check mo mabuti yun fee table ng vetassess..

magbabawas pa din ba sila ng 2 years? Ex. sa ACS assessment?

sa result magkaiba ang skills assessment at ang educ qualification assessment..

skills assessment - based sa naging work experience/s mo at sa education

educ qualification - based sa different factors, one of which is the school section, prc license,etc..

so to answer your questions

sa tingin ko mas malaking factor ang work experience (quality ng COE/Jd) sa skills assessment, yung school section has nothing to do with it...
yan nga yata ang bagong rule ng ACS(not yet for other assessing body), binabawas nila ang certain minimum work exp.. please refer to the ACS thread...

Magtatanong po sana ako if may nakakaalam or may kakilala whether AQF Bachelor's degree ang assessment ng ACS sa BS Comp. Sci. from PLM?

So far sa research ko, ang degrees lang na assessed as AQF Bachelor's from PLM ay Eng'g courses only

I'm doing my best to research this first kasi malaking bagay yung 20K for me if masasayang.

Specific this time.

I graduated a Bachelors of Science in Civil engineering in 2002 from the University of San Carlos - Technological center. I saw that it is in section 1.

Considering this to be the case, am i right to assume i will get a positive skills assessment for 189 visa because My graduated course is equivalent to a BS degree for Engineering qualification which is assessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor Degree or higher degree?

Hello po. Mag ask lang po ako, hubby is from Batangas State University, upon checking on the list, wala sa mga locations mention yung main campus which is Batangas City, where hubby graduated. Ok lang po kaya yun? Accredited naman po cguro kasi yun ang main? Anybody here from Batangas State? Maraming Salamat po 🙂
