@jella @batman that is the reason ng cpaa sa akin. Depende na rin siguro if anong section ng school mo. Kasi if section 1 naman it is considered Australian Bachelor degree so considered 15 points na ang education may board or wala. It's either you will choose which points to maximize either for education or sa experience if under section 2 ka at hindi kaagad ka nakapag-board exam. That's how I analyze it in my own opinion based sa actual assessment ko.

@jella yes, accountant general plan ko nominate. though hati ang experience ko. accountant before tapos nasa external audit ako now for 5 years na.

onga kaya worried ako baka maging ganun assessment ko kasi preho kmi from PUP pa nmn. per different branch. meron ako syllabus pero from PUP main. pareho lang naman subjects naming sa branch at sa main. Im thinking nga na gamitin yun syllabus ng PUP main mag stat dec na lang ako na di maka kuha from branch.

@jencandysweet if you read kasi mga previous na nag pa assess, kahit hindi CPA bachelors degree din. pero di ko lang sure kong section 1 school nya.

@jencandysweet good day po Ma'am! i just read your lists of docs you submitted for assessment, posted above. wala po kasi sa checklist na binigay ni CPA Australia ang birth cert, passport and CV. isasali ko na rin po ba? btw ma'am, can I ask how many points they gave you. am expecting 10 points lang kasi.

@JillmaySerrano sis yun birth certificate and passport copy is for proof of identity. Yun CV naman para may guide din para sa work assessment mo at least makita nila in summary yun mga work experiences na claim mo based sa sinubmit mong COE. Even yun subject mapping di rin included sa list pero it will facilitate the review of your education kasi macompare in a glance yun subjects taken mo against sa core competencies na required ng CPAA.

About the points, I got 15 points for education (my degree plus CPA Board) and 15 points for work experience (8 yrs).

Hi @batman yun nga rin ang alam ko kahit hindi CPA naging successful naman assessment. Siguro it depends talaga sa section ng school and syllabus. Nung binawasan ako ng 2 years nag-email ako sa CPAA stating same reason kasi hassle at nabawasan ako ng points pero they clearly stated na counted lang ang experience ko after ng board kasi at that time lang naging equivalent to Australian Bachelor degree yun education ko.

Kaya nag-request pa ako ng new COE from my past employer to complete the 8 years and aplplied for an employment update.

is it safe to assume po that i might get 20 points from CPAA? 10 for my degree, 5 for CPA license and 5 for experience (3.5 yrs so far pa po)?

@JillmaySerrano basta ma-assess na equivalent to Australian Bachelors degree yun education mo you can claim 15 points for that. Hindi sya naka-breakdown as 10 pts for degree and 5pts for CPA license. Nasa discretion ng CPAA how they will assess your degree kasi may mga factors sila na consider aside sa CPA license. Yun sa experience mo naman CPAA will clearly state in the skill result yun period ng work experience na consider nila so kailangan mo bilangin yun if exact nga at least 3 years then you can claim for 5 points para sa work.

My work experience for 2 companies covered 4ys & 3mos and 3ys and 9mos, respectively. Can I claim total of 8yrs for these?

@chateu419 yes you can claim. Assessing body(CPAA/ICAA/IPA) has the authority to support your claim. If they said you have 8 years based on your Certificate of employment with detailed JD then you have 8 years work experience.

kaya make sure na ang job description mo is align sa JD ng accountant. refer here.
