OK ba magpaassess sa ICAA? Walang naging issue or problem regarding Accounting Theory?

Reply to @balletshoes: wala naman naging problema sa akin with regards to Accounting Theory thanks God! 11/12 naman ang nakuha ko. ang suggestion lang nila ng hindi covered ng syllabus ko ay ung Corporation Law. Ang gusto kasi nila ay specifically Australian Law on Corporation. but all in all a got a positive assessment. 🙂

Reply to @Shengsevilla: i see. im currently working here kasi sa Riyadh. kaya im looking for someone n nandito rin ngaun, pra naman meron ako mapagtatanungan kung may mga questions ako about migration to Australia. 🙂

hi to all! for CPA's, is it a requirement sa assessing authority na dapat updated ang membership sa PICPA? tagal ko na kasing di nagbabayad ng membership dues..

I don't think necessary as they don't even recognize the existence of PICPA... Some people here are none CPAs but they were able to get positive assessment from CPAA.

Meron ka rin bang subject na Financial Accounting Theory sa syllabus mo?

Reply to @balletshoes: dalawa kasi ang Financial Acconting namin. parang incorporated n sa subjects ung theorys ng mga accounts kaya un siguro ang na consider nila s syllabus ko. san m b plano magpa assess? or tapos n ang assessment m?

Nagpaassess na ako sa CPAA kaso negative for migration dahil sa Accounting Theory. Eh same lang tayo, nakaincorporate din sa Financial Accounting ko yung theories na yun and makikita naman sa syllabus yung topics like Conceptual Framework, andun yun diba. Complete naman sinumbit ko even yung board ratings na clearly andun yung Theory of Accounts diba. Tinignan ko kasi yung Foundation Course ng Accounting Theory and the topics covered therein are already in my syllabus eh. Ngayon I'm deciding whether I should appeal or magpaassess nalang sa IPA/NIA or ICAA like you.

Reply to @balletshoes: tinignan ko ulit ung course syllabus ko, meron kami subject nung 2nd semester ng 4th year level namin sa college na dalawang refresher course. ung una n subject and coverage ay about topic sa CPA board exam, (Theory of Account, Practical Acctg 1 & 2). Then un isa naman ay tungkol sa (Management Services). Meron din b kaung ganun?

good afternoon, question to all accountants... i already tried filling up an EOI at skillselect although i do not have the requirements yet (magtake palang ako ng IELTS this July). I just tried out of curiosity so I know what are the questions to expect on the EOI. There is a portion there that asks about each of your work experiences if it is related or not to your nominated occupation. Btw, I will be nominating Accountant (general) if i can push through with applying for a skilled migration visa. Iba iba kc fields na napasukan ko (i have been an internal auditor, tax accountant, cost accountant, budget officer, etc), so I thought I should nominate the occupation na accountant (in general). Anyone here with a similar case? and do you think having different roles/ job descriptions in our years of experience will have an effect whether we will be assessed as suitable or not for the "accountant" na nominated occupation?

Reply to @lou24: I look forward to any response here as my wife also has a similar case with experience as follows:

(1) 6 years external audit

(2) 2.5 years finance manager

She will be applying for General Accountant when she is done with IELTS and Skills Assessment - hopefully before August end, pass na ng EOI.
