Di po kaya reason yun for being clasified na "does not satisfy the health requirement"

2nd case, yung bunso kong anak went thru primary complex medication 5 years ago nung nasa Pinas pa kami at dito na nagtapos ng inom ng gamot. Although doubtful naman ang doctor nya dito sa SG that he ever had it kasi halos lahat daw ng mga bata from Indonesia/Phils seem to always be diagnosed with Primary complex.

Kailangan po ba namin i declare ang mga ito?

My daughter also had primary complex 10 yrs ago and we declared it during the medical interview.. we believe that because of this na referred yung medical nya that causes the delay of approval....i think this is better than not declaring it.. if we did not declare.. then may nakita sa XRAY nya.. it might cause a bigger problem...

Thank you @multitasking. We will just declare it since he went thru treatment naman. We will try to get a certificate/report din from his allergy doctor sa KKH since he was initally diagnosed with astham from young pero na-rule-out ng allergy doctor niya that he only has nose allergy, not asthma. Ka stress ang mga medical conditions ngayon...

I will have my medical 2 weeks from now.

These are the lists I have to undergo: AUD - Audio Standard · Blood Analysis: Fasting Cholesterol & HDL · Blood Analysis: Fasting Glucose · CRS - Cardiac Risk Score · DAS - Laboratory Urine Drug & Alcohol Screen: A/NZ-S 4308: 2008 · ECG (Resting) · MUSC - Musculoskeletal Assessment · SPIRO - Spirometry · VO2 MAX - Fitness Testing.

Sa mga nakapagpamedical na, have you done same exam above and how long did it take to finish? On my case ako Lang ang magmemedical not my wife and 2 kids.

My other preparation is doing some exercise. Kasi yung vo2 max involve some physical exercise.

    Salamat.

thanks! oo nga pala, 457 Visa ka eh :) medyo na concerned ako kasi yung na receive ko na email from my CO didn't really contain a list of tests I should undergo. Pero na confirm naman sa panel physician the needed tests through the HRI number.

    hello po!

couldn't help but comment, curiosity just got the better of me. :)

I'm also on a 457 po, but the most I did was blood test for hep B, hep C, HIV kasi I'll be working with sick patients. Rest was standard: urine and CXR. No fasting, no exercise. Tsaka, yung CO ang nagsabi sa akin what tests I needed for the visa, rather than the company who hired me.

These tests are so high-falluting po kasi. And sigurado, ang mamahal nito. If I may add: yung cardiac score po is more of an assessment rather than a test itself. Spirometry din ginagawa kung may problema talaga kayo tipong asthmatic or chronic lunger etc.

Sir, if I may ask: ano po work eto? :)

    Galing ako sa LRT dati...

Hello merc2013, malamang kasama yun. Sa 457, sagot usually ng employer airfare, relocation (temporary accommodation), visa fees, pati airport transfer. Ganun usually pag 457. Masaya yun, hehe :D

Inisip ko lang yung mga medical exams nilista mo is requirement for work rather than requirement for visa? Ganun sakin kasi. May separate pre-employment blood tests. Out-of-this-world tests like Rubella IgG, HbSAg, Varicella IgG, Pertussis, etc. required by the employer. Parang yung sayo. Obviously in relation to work talaga.

Tapos iba pa yung sa visa ko which is more common like xray, urine, HIV.

Sabagay, iba-iba din naman case natin. Anyway, goodluck po sa medicals mo! :)

Tama ka Nadine, the medical is for work and there's another for visa as I see it. Ano ba dapat mauna, job offer, visa medical or work's medical? In my case I was told that they will be sending the job offer but the medical (works) came in first.

Or should I ask the COMPANY?

    Thanks Nadine.

I personally think visa medicals po, @merc2013.

Kasi the most important thing is getting you into the country po eh. So, pag may visa na, madali na lang yung ibang paperworks, like pre-employment medicals, etc. Tanggap na naman kayo sa trabaho, it's just documenting you're fit for the job, ika nga.

I'm sure approve naman kayo visa. Mabilis lang po 457. Nung ma-finalize ang visa medicals ko, the next day, visa na agad. Your employer has to lodge a nomination for you pala before anything else.

I know it's OT but these are roughly the steps:
    1. Your employer nominates you for the position to DIAC
    2. Once DIAC approves employer nomination, you will lodge your application
    3. Do your visa medicals and wait to be finalized
    4. Visa approval.....

Wala po isang buwan from the time the visa was lodged to the time it was approved. While waiting for visa, yung sakin, sabay nung processing ng visa yung job offer. With visa approval, I did pre-employment medicals. But I suppose, iba-iba company, iba-iba policy and processes.

Dun sa job offer mo malalaman about your relocation entitlement, hourly pay, OT pay, vacation leave, superannuation terms, mga ganun po.

    :)

Thanks very much Nadine. I totally agree with you na dapat visa muna.

There's a requirement that you have to have a healthcare insurance sa visa application. Do you know what is this and where can I get one just in case?

Yup, DIAC requires 457 appliants to take out private health insurance. And kahit approve na visa mo, you will need to maintain it actually for the duration of your 457 because we cannot access medicare yet habang temporary resident pa lang. Having said that though, most of the people here have private health insurance naman po kahit may medicare na sila. Because of the extended coverage. Maganda na meron kayo private health insurance base sa nakikita ko dito.

I'm not sure about your circumstances, pero kung kasama niyo pamilya niyo, kasali po sila sa kukunin niyong insurance. Yung sakin, when I applied, I took out the very basic cover for single applicant. Pinakamura po kasi basic eh. ;)). When I started work, I extended it to include more benefits.

Madami po health insurance companies that satisfy the criteria set out by DIAC for 457. Bupa, Medibank and NIB (Iman Aushealth) po alam ko. :)

Thanks again for the info Nadine. One last question, sa requirements nang DIAC about health insurance; ilang months yung kailangan mong kunin at I-present as doc. requirement?

    Salamat.

@merc2013 just get a visitors cover then i present mu lng yan to diac. May fee lang yan but you can have the monthly fees put on hold until you get to aus.

So like me. I took a visitors cover with bupa around june and presented it to diac para ma finalzed ung 457 visa. I just paid a membership fee or parang guarantee lng. But i did not start paying the monthly dues until aug. or when i arrived in aus.

Hope that helps;) but for 457 required talaga ung insurance:) also hindi pwdi ung insurance from outside australia... I dont know why but sa case ko kasi i had insurance with IAG in nz and they are also a big company in au but it was different daw from what is required for people on the 457 visa.

So no choice. Tawag ka lng long distance or free call to insurance companies in au. Shop around kasi some are really pricey but others are reasonable din. So shop around.
