    sana this time papasa na ako or else wala ng pag asa by january 2013 kasi tataas na ang IELTS Band Score requirement ng AITSL.

    Ready na po ung papers ko po for AITSL Assessment. IELTS nlng kulang.
    BTW, back to back po ba ung notary sa docs niyo? magkano nman po? para at least may idea ako to tell my sis. Siya po kasi ang gumagawa lahat ng papers ko sa Pinas.

    When po ba ang expected date niyo sa AITSL Assessment Result?

    Nice to see that this thread is still alive. We are almost 3 weeks in Australia, and unfortunately, still haven't got work. All of the pinoys we met here told me na, I just have to work, ANY work yun ah, mapa groceries, waiters or cleaners. I have passed resumes here and there, but to summarize para magkaroon na kayo ng idea. BTW we are in regional NSW...
    1. You need to have local experience
    2. You need to drive here... (hassle sa akin because I don't drive in the Philippines, but mahirap ang public transpo nila, specially here in the regional area...)
    3. If you're planning to apply to catholic schools here, dapat at least may makilala kang parish priest as your referee... if state schools naman, kelangan mo munang mag apply ng statement of eligibility and then yung application to teach in nsw...
    4. Mas madali siguro pag single kang pupunta dito, kasi pwede ka maghanap ng shared accommodation.

    Yan pa lang muna. Anyways, good luck sa lahat mga fellow teachers. Sa mga kukuha ng ielts and sa mga magpapaassess sa aitsl... isasama ko kayo sa mga prayers ko. God bless!

    @sticktoexecute Thank you for sharing your experiences there. Malaking tulong yan sa mga tulad namin na naga -aspire to be there as teachers. Minsan napapa-isip ako, ano kaya may mayaman na Pinoy migrant, magtayo na lang ng private school exclusive for Pinoys or Asians then i-hhire nyang teachers mga Pinoy (gandang panaginip, hahahahha) Anyway, keep us posted.:-)

    1. about notaryo... P20 pesos per page... dun ka sa maayos magpanotaryo kasi baka tawagan nila...

    2. if back to back - nope... one stamp per page (may required style sila, check AITSL doc requirements)

    3. umabot sa P500 (rounded off) ung notary ko... depending sa number of papers/pages that you'll submit...

    Good that prepared na lhat ng papers mo - pa notary mo na... :-)

    @sticktoexecute, why don't you apply as Teacher Aide muna? then pag andun ka na sa loob, try to complete kung ano man yung requirements ng school para matanggap ka as a Teacher.
    Mahirap talaga pag di ka marunong mag drive sa Aus. Dapat you should have practiced driving sa pinas kahit mga basic lang, dahil dito pag Learner's Licence ka, di ka rin makakadrive without a professional driver on your side. I am sure, malalampasan nyo iyan. Keep praying.

    naguguluhan po ako... halimbawa ung TOR. 3 pages po back to back ung print...so one stamp lng po ba sa TOR as one doc or 3 pages x 2 sides stamp?

    If your TOR is back 2 back - yes - ask the the notary man to stamp it back to back... :-)

    @R_Yell waaaaah wala pa result up to now... quite impatient na nga here... 8 weeks na last nov 27... hopefully the result will come out next week or this week - the agony of waiting.

    minsan ayaw ko na icheck ung site nila laging "assessment in progress" pa din

    antay lang IELTS mo... hope yan na ung final so u can submit na for the assessment. :-)

    @R_Yell i come from nz.. philippine teaching degree is hardly recognize in nz. madugo ang process in nz for teachers. my friend is a high school math teacher in UP. she had to go back to school in nz for 2 years and is a teacher in daycare now. the only reason she got to stay in nz cause her husband is a permanent resident.

    my other friend is also a teacher in a jesuit school in cebu but same story had to study for 2 years and only allowed to be a teacher in daycare.

    check the link... they can't teach primary or high school.. that's another additional schooling in NZ even if they were practicing teachers back in the philippines even after taking up units in a nz school.

    they have had their degrees assessed by the NZQA and have both passed the ielts. the recommendation was to do that 2 years study.

    i am not saying it is impossible..but in my 3 plus years there and being involve with the filipino community in nz i haven't met a filipino teacher who was able to practice in nz in high school or primary school. sadly, some are working as clerks and other odd jobs.

    i am not saying this to discourage you but i'm just saying that it won't be easy pero i fyou are very decided to go through with all of it then go for it!

    get ielts...nzqa assessment to decide which track they will advice you in. then get a visa to nz:)

    kia kaha!!! ... better learn te reo maori too...it's taught in schools in nz;D

    p.s. my brother in law who is australian is a teacher here in nsw.. he said finding a job in nsw is also quite hard kaya if you find a job ..don't leave kasi finding another one can be very difficult and you really need tenure for job security.

    @li_i_ren : thnx sa info... Very informative! I have made up my mind already. I stick to OZ dream though cheaper ang visa fee and by stage ang bayaran ng NZ correct me if im wrong...kasi pasok ung migration points ko for OZ. Ito lng kasing IELTS ang nagpapahirap! Ehehehe

    Hi po sa lahat ng Kaguruan,duamadami na pala tayo dito. Nadedelay ang aming pag-aapply kasi he got 6.5 in reading and need sa AITSL ay 7 pts. so I am still encouraging him to retake the test and he just so busy baka this holiday he will have time to review again. Para po sa lahat GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS!

    @jhiela23 : kailangan kung band 7 ang nakuha dapat masubmit ung docs for
    AITSL at mareceive nila before Jan1, 2013 kasi kung hindi the band 8 for listening and reading will be used against the applicants for assessment effective Jan 1 2013.

    Aware po ba kau nito?
    Im losing my hope here already.

    hi @ R-Yell, thanks for the info, few months na ko na di nag update ng OZ, wow! taas nanrin ng expectation ng Aitsl for teacher assessment ..sa Victoria you need to get 8 band for speaking and listening ( not sure in any changes) ... In short we need to get 8 band in all areas just to make sure we qualify for aitsl and state sponsorship... Hays! Good luck sa review for Ielts but don' give up...just aim for the gold!

    Mga boss ganda umaga po ask ko lang po sana if ever na maipasa mo po ba ang assessment as Secondary Teacher, magkavisa ka at makapunta ng Australia required ka po bang magwork dun as Teacher or pede pong wag kang magturo at mag-apply na lang ng ibang work since sabi po ng ibang member mahirap mag-apply as Teacher in Australia lalo na if Pinoy. Salamat po sa mga sasagot!

    if you applied for skilled visa, wala pong restrictions ang visa kung anung work ang pwede mo applyan..pwede po mag-apply ng ibang work.. kahit anong work..

    ang mga meron lang pong restriction is unless employer sponsored visa ka.. kasi ung nomination ng employer is only on that particular occupation/skill..
