    Boss lock_code2004 salamat po, balak ko po kasi mag-apply as Skilled Sponsored Visa (relative) po. So if ever po di ko na po need magwork as teacher sa Australia? Salamat po ulet! :)
    if you mean visa 489, yes wala pong restriction yan..
    except that it's a temporary visa (i think 4 yrs validity), so after nyan eh mag-aaply ka pa ulit ng PR visa..

    kung kaya po ng visa 190 dun na lang kayo.. state sponsored.. para PR agad..

    Finally... When I checked AITSL (Check Application Status) website at around 9am, today - "Completed Assessment". Thank God. I was really overwhelmed. It took 9 long weeks... now next step na... waaaaahhhhh but we're very happy palapit ma kami...paunti-unti...

    @R_Yell thanks so muchy - waiting for the hard copy to be mailed daw then mga 3 to 4 weeks pa malalaman if positive result or negative...

    bout your COE query - yes, its optional but it will make your claims stronger... I submitted my 2 COE's with payslips and ITR's. Strict sila sa OJT... kaya provide those, too - with the specifics like age group, subjects taught and what you did...

    my result ka na? pa - assess ka na din... kasi ang tagal pala ng AITSL...

    I envy other assessing bodies na mabibilis...

    congrats everyone... update ko lang journey ko dito sa Oz. So statement of eligibility ok na, nakapag pasa na ako for application to teach, nagsagot na rin sila, but I still have to take another test... yung PEAT (Professional English Assessment for Teachers) sa Sydney, 400$ ang bayad. Nandito na ako sa Regional area, and manganganak na ang wife ko anytime, kaya siguro next year na lang siguro. For the meantime, nagwowork ako sa isang chinese food "turo turo" parang sa food court ganon. Hehe. Nakakamiss na ang magturo. Good luck sa ating lahat mga pards.

    Hello mga kapatid! Casual relief teacher po mula sa Melbourne..... Mahirap po ipenetrate Ang Melbourne ..... Punta po tayo sa bush para me chance na magkaroon Ng full time teaching role.... And I needed to study to become at least a CRT.... Govt funded naman walang bayad.... Kung teacher aide... Aral p rin

    BSE po AKo maj in English but ten yrs in primary level.... I can teach both levels but chose primary level kasi Medyo maliit p Sungay Ng mga demonyito at demonyita dito hehehe

Puwede mo po bang isalaysay dito ang details about being a casual relief teacher in terms sa scope of work, mababa ba ang sahod, marami bang chances , mahirap po ba ang process sa pag apply, may alam po ba kaung pinoy na ganun din o kaya ay mas higit pa ang posisyon niya like a fulltime teacher na tlga something like that, etc?
    What about Goldcoast? Ok po kaya ang teaching- related jobs?

    I couldn't get a full time teaching job.... Schools will not hire u unless u have experience... N u gain exp by studying.... So I studied n gain my Exp then applied sa mga CRT agencies in Melbourne.... Malaki chances to get full time work sa regional vic but we r settled in Melbourne....

    Malaki Ang sahod Ng CRT work but it is casual u never know what u will get for the day... Or if u will get a job for a day

    I'm a 23-year old COA auditor turning 2 yrs this Feb and I realized teaching may be my true passion after all. Nakapag-sub kasi ako ng math classes sa 3rd and 4th yr sa isang Catholic high school in our province (Bohol) and I saw the difference between classroom and office works.

    I took my 24 teaching units for PRC exam purposes, (Accountancy was my undergrad), passed the LET last Sept 30 (math was my majorship), and enrolled in a Masters degree in educ major in Math to deepen my math foundations. I will hopefully finish my MA in 2015.

    Mas gusto ko talaga magturo muna dito sa Pinas para magamit sana as experience when I apply for Aussie state nomination. I will be applying as secondary school teacher for maths and not as an auditor or accountant. Nabasa ko ung about sa VISA 190 where the state (in my case, Victoria) will sponsor me. Matanong ko nga kayo...

    Will Australia accept part-time college teaching or teaching night high school in the Philippines as an experience worthy of sponsorship? Or dapat talagang full-time high school teacher ka? I checked in the latest state occupation list and it just said "must have a minimum 2 years experience". I e-mailed them at sabi nila during evaluation na daw ma determine if I'm qualified.

    Kasi if Aus is that meticulous enuf na high school experience talaga ang dapat, then magpapa-rank na ako next year para makuha ung 2 yrs na reqd. Target ko in the public schls to retain my job stability as I'll only be moving from one govt agency to another.
    Pero if may nalaman kayong nakapagturo saanman sa Aus na part-time college teaching or part-time teaching night hs sa Pinas lang ang ginamit, then I may as well hang on to my job. Mga 200,000 pa lang ung na save ko in case hihingi ng show money. Or will this also be required?

    Maraming salamat at sana u can help me clear out this stuff. :-)

    im not a teacher, but if i may comment your question about state sponsorship and the part-time work experience... before you ask for the state sponsorship, you should satisfy the criteria of the assessing body for teachers.. if you pass that, then there is no reason for you not to receive state sponsorship..

    so my suggestion is to check first the requirements (in terms of work experience) of your assessing body..

    Hi. Tanong ko lng may ielts ka ba? Kasi sa pagkakaalam ko either PEATor ielts ang pwedeng i-pass sa kanila. Andito kasi ako sa Sydney galing ako dun sa Department of Education. Ganun yung pagkakaintindi ko... Ang mahal nman kung mag PEAT ka pa...

    Hi.. Ang pagkakaalam ko kasi ang is at least maprove m na 20 hours a week yung work mo kung gusto mo sya isama as work expperience.
    Bakit di m subukan magpaassess as auditor gamitin m lng cya pra makapagmigrate. Mas mahirap ang requirements sa teacher especially na hindi yun ang undergrad mo. Ako kasi 2 years sped teacher sa pinas. Mass comm yung undergrad ko tapos nag 18 units para maka take ng licensure. Negative yung assessment ko for migration. Sabi nila kelangan ko pa daw mag aral dito for 2 years may mga binigay sila sakin na list of schools. Pero d p ko nag enrol ang mahal kasi. Tska may iniwan din akong Master's sa pinas. Uwi muna ko pinas kasi tapusin ko thesis n lng.

    @veenus18ph Hi! Welcome here! Yan din nalaman ko sa nabasa-basa ko about teaching in Australia, aside from IELTS pagdating doon meron pa sila papatake na English test, yun nga ata yung PEAT and me required band scores din yata sa test na yan????

    congrats everyone... update ko lang journey ko dito sa Oz. So statement of eligibility ok na, nakapag pasa na ako for application to teach, nagsagot na rin sila, but I still have to take another test... yung PEAT (Professional English Assessment for Teachers) sa Sydney, 400$ ang bayad. Nandito na ako sa Regional area, and manganganak na ang wife ko anytime, kaya siguro next year na lang siguro. For the meantime, nagwowork ako sa isang chinese food "turo turo" parang sa food court ganon. Hehe. Nakakamiss na ang magturo. Good luck sa ating lahat mga pards.

Umm, ang plano ko is to graduate from my MA Ed in Math here in the Philippines before applying for assessment. I 'll discuss with my friend dean kung paano ko kukuhanin ung 20 hrs parttime while I'm studying my MA.

    Regarding the results of your assessment, saang skuls ka nila pinapaaral ng additional 2 yrs?
    As in, exclusively Aussie universities or ok lang na sa Pinas?

    Sana positive contributor din sa assessment ang pag-graduate with high honors.

    I thought about what you said na magpa-assess as auditor pero ung kabilang sa SOL ay accountant, internal auditor, and external auditor. Eh, iba kasi ang sa aking experience coz I'm with COA. DIffrnt ung scope kasi government/state audit versus internal (ung sa business) at external (audit firms). But I'll still give it a second thought, juz in case. :-)

    Anyway, I also wish you luck in your thesis and I hope lulusot na ung muling pag-apply mo for Aussie. :-)

    Hi. Australian universities lang na recognized ng department of education ang pwede kong enrolan. Meron lang silang list.
    Kung section 1 ang skul mo malaki ang chances mo na makapagmigrate ka kasi equivalent yun sa australian education.
    Kung hindi ka nman nagmamadali cguro ok lng tapusin m muna ang masters mo. At least dalawa options mo. Medyo matgal nga lang hihintayin mo kung gusto mo as a teacher ka magmigrate dito. Kung magamit mo kasi yung sa pagiging Auditor at makamigrate ka ng mas maaga e pwede na dito ka n mag aral as a teacher. kung section 2 ang skul m sa masters baka d nila irecognize so uulit ka din.

    Ah so expired na ba yung ielts mo kaya d n pwede isubmit sa kanila? Pwede mo isubmit yun para di ka na magPEAT at macomplete na registration mo. Sayang nman, pasukan n nman, pwede ka mag apply kahit casual employee sa public schools ang laki ng sweldo per day lalo na casual.

Sa ngaun iniisip ko na uuwi nlng cguro ako ng pinas at palaguin ung business na nasimulan ng parents ko with my ipon while undergoing a serious thorough review for the IELTS. IELTS nlng talaga kulang ko. Its like as good as the visa na. But this is still my plan. NOT FINAL YET sayang din kasi ang opportunity ko dito.

After all the hardwork gathering all the requirements, IELTS, plus the agony of waiting - seeing the certificate means a lot... a great xmas gift... unti unti na to... wuhoooo...
