Hi guys I just want to create a new thread where we can share our stories, journeys, hardships/trials, and challenges bago natin nakamit ang minimithing Visa :)


Ano yung setting, naging pakiramdam, at initial reaction nyo at that time na natanggap nyo ang Visa Grant? Tumalon? Umiyak? Sumayaw? Tumawa? Sumigaw? Naihi? Natulala?


We usually share our experiences in the individual forum topics and create lang sana ako ng isang consolidated thread for it.. para madaling balik-balikan ang mga individual stories.. and hopefully, maka-inspire rin sa lahat ng makakabasa… lalo na para sa mga nagbabalak or nagsisimula pa lang, may mga agam-agam, at sa aming mga naghihintay pa rin ng visa grant.

    sakto kakatapos lang ng annual company event namin sa river safari. buti hindi umulan hehe. Eventhough i am expecting a grant, sobrang saya kasi formal na talaga sa wakas. Daming hurdles/ bumps before the grant kasi.

    Super saya! kahit nalate ka na sa pagpasok sa ofc or sa pag-uwi dahil sa traffic, hindi ka na mashado naiinis kase alam mong di na din naman magtatagal ang pagdurusa mo sa traffic. :D
    Di na din mashado affected at stressed sa work. Looking forward na kase. :)

    It was November 26. Sa panaginip ko, nasa Australia na raw ako. Then nagising ako sa tunog ng mobile ko. May nag-message. Agent ko pala.
    These were here exact words: "MERRY CHRISTMAS MAM! VISA GRANT NA PO KAYO!". Napatalon ako sa bed.
    Dali dali kong ginising ang girlfriend ko. Then nataranta kami pareho for a while. Literally running around the apartment not knowing what to do next.
    Yung feeling na akala mo dahil na Visa Grant ka na, kelangan mo na umalis at magpunta sa Australia agad. hehehe.
    Then we settled down a bit, hugged each other and just pondered for a while on how blessed we were.
    Then after non, tinawagan na namin parents ko, parents niya, sister ko, mga close friends namin.

    Afterwards, between November 26 to March 21, everything was just a blur..Suddenly, nandito na kami.. :D

    Mas na-excite ako nung pumasa ako sa IELTS! haha.. :-)

    tapos ung lumabas na ung positive assessment ng EA mas nakakapang thrill...plano ko na talaga magresign nung nasa saudi pa ako...then ung IELTS pa lang e sabi ko na sa sarili ko na "P*tah, tanggalin niyo na ako" haha

    then nagresign na ako ng May 2013, kahit hinde pa lumalabas ung visa namin...tumambay muna ako ng pinas at September 2013 pa lumabas ung visa namin...parang wala lang! as in...

    Yung mga around 2 to 3 months bago ako magpunta dito sa WA, dun pa lang nag-sync in sa akin ung OZ!! :-)

    @dhey_almighty tama yung EA Skills Assessment ang isa sa pinaka-thrilling moment.. sa case ko emosyonal (naks!) talaga nung malaman ko yung resulta ng EA kasi meron some background akong pinagdaanan dyan habang sinusulat ko yung mga CDRs haha.. kaya nung makuha ko resulta, parang visa grant na yung natanggap ko..

    actually ako gusto ko na rin mag-resign, habang hinihintay yung visa grant eh magnilay-nilay at balik-tanaw sa pilipinas, spend time with family and friends at balikan yung mga ibat ibang lugar na memorable sakin..

    pero tuwing naiisip ko yung kikitain ko dito sa abroad, yung bawat buwan na stay ko dito eh katumbas ng ilang weeks na magiging renta ko sa Oz in the future, eh nagbabago bigla isip ko haha

    @wizardofOz Tama! haha...mas exciting ung result sa EA...as in lagi ako nageemail para malaman ung result! haha... :-) nasa saudi pa ako nun at panay ang refresh ko ng email ko para sa results! then ang sarap basahin nung result ng EA!! para kang tumama sa lotto! haha

    **since PR sa OZ, i thought of tumambay na muna ng pinas at magpalipas ng isang taon or more bago magpunta ng OZ...naka 9 years rin kase ako ng saudi...kaya i thought of rewarding myself muna at magrelax bago magtungo dito...un nga lang at super gastos talaga sa Pinas!! hehe muntikan nang kapusin sa baon pagpunta dito...

    Also, to those people na nagsasabing mas masarap sa pinas...tama kayo, mas masarap nga sa pinas...but come to think of it, masarap lang sa pinas pag ma-pera ka!! haha :-)

    and, sa experience ko so far dito sa Oz, sa mga nagsasabi rin na lahat daw na nagdala ng family nila dito na nagsisisi, aba, ewan ko sa inyo, so far ako, i am still optimistic at higit sa lahat e i am enjoying myself here! :-p

    Furthermore, ano ba ang pagkakaiba ng working visa sa PR?! ang importante e pare-pareho tayong nasa OZ!!

    Ako nman medyo sure ako sa approval ng assessment ko at approval ng visa grant. Ang unsure ako is ielts at medical evaluations hahaha. But still approval ng visa is a major relief, after all the frustrations along the visa journey.

    Yung Skills Assessment na yata yung isa sa pinakanakakainip na phase sakin… knock on wood, huwag lang sana may dumating pang mas nakakainip na phase like visa grant or pagkakaroon ng trabaho hehehehe

    Everyday noon check ako ng check ng email and status ng mga current applications being processed.

    Ang dami ko pang doubts sa application from major things like my Diploma not being in English, sufficiency of COE details, up to simple things like yung quality ng Notaryo sa Pinas na ginawa sa mga docs ko.

    Finally after waiting 13wks ni-review na ng EA yung application ko…. nun ko lang nalaman na hindi pala nila na-receive yung IELTS TRF ko kaya dagdag stress sakin… Akala ko kasi maghihintay nanaman ako ng another 13 wks para matapos nila yung assessment. Tapos hindi pa ganoon ka-responsive yung assessor na na-assign sa akin.

    Then nung medyo kinodisyon ko na yung utak ko na magtatagal pa yung assessment… Pagbukas ko yung email #BOOM… Assessment result! :)

    Natulala ako nang konti, medyo teary-eyed at may pag-wwalling na nangyari lol… Nung finally na-receive ko na yung letter (Duplicate pa yun, dahil nawala yung Original!), sarap basahin yung nakasulat sa assessment, it made it all worth lahat ng stress at paghihintay… not to mention yung gastos haha.

    Yung sa akin, when I got the state sponsorship. Ilang taon kasi akong nag intay na i sponsor ang work ko. Malapit na mag expire yung skills assessment ko, wala pa din state na mag sponsor. Nung nag submit ako for state nomination, biglang nag close na yung occupation ko kaya todo panic ako hahaha.
    Kaya sa akin, yung a-ha moment nung natanggap ko yung state nomination papers :)
    Pero sobrang saya ko nun :)
    After that, yung visa, waiting game lang.

    Skills Assessment din yung stressful sa akin. Yun din kasi yung pinakamatagal tsaka may uncertainty. Add the fact na wala ako masyadong kaparehas ng nominated occupation kaya wala masyadong ma-consult pagdating sa docs. Kumbaga bahala na talaga! Pagkatapos kasi ng Skills Assessment sobrang bilis na ng lahat.

    Ngayon ko lang na-realise: halos one year ago lang kukuha pa lang ako ng IELTS. Ngayon andito na ako sa Oz, at medyo settled in na. Really thanking my lucky stars! :)

    Share ko lang ang golden moment na yun. Noong umaga paggising ko chineck ko ang email ko first thing in the morning wala pa. tapos nag mamadali ako kasi malapit na malate sa work kaya mabilisan na ligo. tapos narining ko ng alert ang phone ko akala ko wala lang kasi usually spam mail and etc. after ng lahat lahat balak ko sana mag delete ng email na spam then nabasa ko yung grant email!!!!!!! napaluhod ako and napaiyak ng hindi ko maintindihan and nagdasal habang umiiyak hahaha... nalate nga ako sa work ng umaga na yun pero bahala na ok lang!!!

I just took my my IELTS exam (General) last april 2014 and got a score of R-8.0, L-7.5, W- 6.5 and S- 6.5 with OBS of 7.0. I will take my AIMS assesment this coming March 2015. I just want to know if I can already apply for EOI despite of having a 0 pts on IELTS after I pass my assesment,.Coz if I calculate my total pts as of now, I already have the 60pts passing rate. I am 30.yrs old, 8 yrs working experience and a Bachelor degree holder..I am just wondering kung pede n ko di kumuha o mgretake ulit ng IELTS kac nka 60 pts naman n po ko.... Hope you can help me. Thank you po....

    Hi @johanncedrick allow me to answer your questions.. If your Skills Assessment is Positive and your 'Age', 'Education' and 'Skilled Work Exp" are equivalent to 60 points, then you may lodged an EOI even if you are claiming 0 points for 'Language Ability'.

    Please do note na you should only lodged your EOI, after you got your Skills Assessment result...

    Pero if you have the time and the money, I suggest you retake the IELTS... mukhang kaya mo namang ma-attain at least yung 7.0 in all Bands :)

    Para lang may back-up kang points to mitigate the risk just in case hindi umabot yung points mo after ng Skills assessment (e.g. you only get 'Diploma' equivalent) and Work Exp (became less than 8yrs assessed).

    Pero kung abot naman, no need na, para save na rin ng money and effort from retaking IELTS.

    lahat ata ng thread pinostan mo nito e :)) anyway, if you are referring to subclass 189 then you already can. Here is an excerpt from the document checklist:

    "Evidence you have at least competent English" - 6 in all subjects po ang competent english.

    Hope this helps.
