open bank account NAB from singapore

Hello po sa lahat. Visa grant 190 na po ung samen and as early as now planning na po kmi transition from sg to SA. One concern po is pano open acct NAB na andito pa kmi s sg. Nabasa ko po d2 na online lng pede. Ndi ko na po mahanap ung thread tungkol d2 kaya sana po may mgreply.

Pno po ung mga docs as identification? Mgkno open acct? Pede ba transfer frm POSB to NAB? Salamat po s inputs nyo

follow mo link nila. ako nga nagsetup ng nab isaver account nasa pinas. using my DBS ibanking account sa singapore, naglagay lang ako ng initial seed money. madali lang. mga 2-3 days, mag-email back na sila sa iyo with instructions etc. good luck!

welcome po @bhelle_mt02. Maganda nga yung classic + Isaver. Panalo na yun kasi kahit 1 year before your flight e pwede ng magset-up (online) at magtransfer ng pera (wire).

Hi. galing din ako sa SG. What I did was open a savings acct sa ANZ from the internet then ng nagmove na ako sa adelaide, pumunta ako sa head office branch ng ANZ then nagdeposit na ako. of course nanghingi sila ng proof of identity of which binigay ko passport, visa grant notice, ph drivers license.

In my case, opened an ANZ account and started remitting money already para pagdating ko dun, may account na. Plus, I think it is safer than carrying that money in PH hehe.

@bookworm pano po transfer peso dun sa bank acct ANZ? thru bank po ba? some of our funds ksi nsa peso po.

@bhelle_mt02 online bank transfer. Kung walang online bank transfer facility ang bangko niyo, you can do a wire transfer over the counter.

@cholle thank u. We do have BDO online banking. Ndi ko lng sure kung pede transfer online to another bank internationally. salamat. Pag-uwi pinas, asikasuhin ito.

@bhelle_mt02, yung sa akin, wala kasi ako sa pinas. I remitted the money over the counter.
Pag uwi ko in a couple of weeks, yung peso naman ang i try ko.
@cholle Puwede ba mag remit through online banking?

@bookworm @bhelle_mt02 check ninyo sa bank ninyo pero usually pwede dapat yan. kelangan niyo lang yung BSB code and swift code ng bank ninyo rito sa Oz, may instructions naman kapag nag-open kayo ng account. kung hindi ninyo ma-figure out kung saan sa online banking ninyo yung pag-wire internationally, best to do it over the counter. but in my case (and a lot of people here have done this) they were able to do it via online banking lang. HTH!

@bookworm update mo kmi ha kung pano ung sa pinas.. @cholle thanks sa info... will try ibanking but have to convince my husband first hehe.. first time ksi nmen gagawin to at klngn safe and sure ksi un ang baon nmen pgdting jan. Naka pag setup na ko ng NAB account + isaver, na register ko na din onlne banking, pag register lang po need lang passport at contact number dun sila padala sms at confirmation din sa email. Once na setup na view-only mode lang until pagdating sa AU anf after proper identification thru meeting sa NAB acct manager mo. Next year pa kmi mag wire transfer atleast less hassle..galing

btw katuwa lang mga dati kong nakikita sa pinoysg site nandito at active sa forum...namely tasburr, engr boy last time alam ko pati si paris hipon ata un...

@brixx89 wow... wlng charge pag-open ng acct db? Un ung nabasa ko. try din ito nxt yr. hintay pa ng 13mo at bonus kung meron hehe.. ung posb nten d2 pede db gmiting pgtransfer dun?

Oo kakatuwa nga mga active d2 na dating taga-sg. Kakainspire sila sa big move nila.

Kelan po alis nyo at san ang punta?

Hi bhelle_mt02, wla po charge sa pag open ng NAB account. Yes pwede po POSB din ako..nag inquire din ako sa posb bank mismo pwede mag online wire transfer. make sure na i tick mo na yung may online banking para ma view mo kung pumasok na money sa NAB account mo.

Yes tagal ko na nabasa mga comment nila sa pinoysg noon pa..idnt know na one day lilipat na din ako ng forum hehe..thou tagal ko na hindi active dun ..March po sa Adelaide..san po kayo?

- can you see your account balance po kahit hindi ka pa nakapunta sa Au?
- may charge ba when you tele transfer money from POSB to NAB?
- na-try din nyo from Standard Chartered to NAB?
- may tax deduction ba let's say 3 months na hindi mo pa nagalaw ang pera mo sa NAB dahil outside Au ka pa?

- Yes pag apply mo ng NAB select mo din online banking, ma view mo po yung account mo online, ofcourse kung wala pa pera, 0 balance pa.
- Yes may charge po, nag inquire na din ako sa POSB, and read ng mga post dito and para sa akin cheaper way would be using pay2home in sending money from SG to AU, need to check pa din sa exchange rate but sabi nila better than most banks lalo na pag malaki amount you can get premium rate, need to check the rate upon processing.
- tax ?? i think kung i tatramsfer mo dun sa isaver account which may interest na yun, taxable na din siguro.

You will get tax deduction for your interest as you don't have any TFN yet submitted to the financial institution; come tax time naman, you can be able to recoup this and and this to your tax declaration (i.e. interest income earned and tax withheld from interest).
