Hello! To be frank, medyo vague po yung details na binigay ninyo. We would need some background details to be able to answer your concern:
-Do you have a university degree other than education?
-Which country are you currently in?
-What kind of "pathway" are you talking about? (Pathway to migration?)

So you're talking about job opportunities after graduating from that course, tama po ba? Graduating from a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care will make you qualified to work as an educator (e.g. Early Childhood Teacher, Group Leader, Nominated Supervisor) in childhood centres.

Maybe others would be able to share about their experience. I only know the details I've mentioned because I've applied for a Skilled Independent Visa, with Pre-Primary School Teacher as my nominated occupation. But I finished my degree in the Philippines and not in Australia.

Teacher's registration is not a requirement when applying for work in a childcare centre. You just need to have a minimum of a Certificate III qualification.
@angelicious
Q: If beed grad it means pede sila magpaassess for ece assessment then upon arrival in au they can study under ece diploma and apply job in child care? Tama po ba?
A: You can work as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) in Australia if:
You have an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification that is found in the approved qualifications list from ACECQA (http://www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications.aspx).
or
You have teacher's registration in Australia and you enrol in an approved diploma course for Early Childhood Education found in the approved qualifications list from ACECQA (http://www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications.aspx).

So far, from the Philippines, ang approved ECT courses lang ay:
Q: But what if grad ng BEED major in preschool education/ ece do u know the path for them? I mean do you know roughly kung diploma din itake nila?
A: Unless your course is from any of the degrees I mentioned above (and specifically from those schools as well), then you'll have to take the same route that I did.

I'm not very familiar with the process regarding the student visa route, sorry. You can advise your sister to try applying for Visa 189 or Visa 190 instead since Sped Teacher is in the list of skilled occupations.
@angelicious
If you become a permanent resident, they usually give a concession fee for your studies. For instance, the full fee for the online bridging diploma I'm taking through Tafe is $7040 but since I am a permanent resident, I only pay $67 per module (there are 6 modules total).

It would differ depending on your level/qualifications. It's usually in between $46,782-$64,732, per year.

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, nag-apply ako sa ACECQA to check kung equivalent sa ECT ang qualification ko. Apparently my qualification was assessed as equivalent to a primary teaching degree and not an early childhood degree. So kung sa primary school niya balak magturo, sa BOSTES (www.nswteachers.nsw.edu.au) siya kukuha ng teacher registration sa NSW. However, if she is planning to work in an early childhood setting, she'll have to study either a Cert III or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Hope that information helped. Good luck!

Visa 457, unlike Visa 189 and 187, is only a temporary visa that allows you to work with a sponsor in Australia for 4 years and to take your dependents with you with the same work rights. I actually applied with my de facto partner and thankfully, we'll be coming to Australia together. By the 4th year, they can renew you for another temporary or permanent visa. It's much cheaper than Visa 189 as we only paid AUD2,198.68 for both me and my partner and its processing time is much faster since they claimed to have it done in 4-8 weeks. Ours took 4 weeks.
Here's the catch, most sposorships are needed in rural areas and not in major cities. I got mine in Gladstone, QLD. It's not really a major issue for me but for those who've set their eyes on the major cities, it might be a problem since it's really hard to find one there.
So that's my experience. I'm still actually overwhelmed at how fast things are going but I am fully aware that this is a great opportunity and I am excited to work in Australia.
If you have any other questions, I would very much happy to help as the company I'll be working for has a good referral program.
I truly believe in God's perfect time.
