Name Problem in Visa and Police Check

Hello!

Currently undergoing police check for employment.

Problem lang is wala yung 'middle name' ko in my visa and kailangan ko muna daw ipaayos sa immi.

May nakaexperience na ba nito? And gaano katagal ang process?

Thanks!

May name change ruling naman sila for their own documents. Kaso, yung birth certificate ko wala pa so old names pa rin nila nandun.

They're not included in my application (solo applicant lang ako) pero nakita kong hinihingi ang info ng parents/siblings, so just want to know if this could affect my application? I will declare accordingly pero just want to be prepared in case I need to find workarounds para dito.

    Maraming salamat.

Which kind of visa are you on? Did you include your middle name when you applied for that visa?

In my student visa grant first name (first and second given names) and last name lang nakalagay, tapos sa PH passport ko may first name (first and second given names), middle name (maiden surname ng mother), and last name.

When I applied for police check, I presented PH passport and student ID (first given name and surname lang, no second given name or middle name included) for identification, tinanggap naman ng AusPost. When I received my police check, kung ano yung buong pangalan na nasa passport ko, yun ang nakalagay sa NPC ko (so first names + middle name + last name). I heard it can take 2 weeks for NPC, but in my case, I submitted via AusPost yesterday afternoon and then got my QLD police check document this morning. I just don't know how different sa ibang states or with AFP police check.

I think as long as you've got at least one valid ID (passport, proof of age/Photo ID) that has your complete name and it matches the details you've submitted on your visa application, it should be fine.

Ganito po kasi. Ang chinecheck nung nagpagawa ako ng national identity card yung pinakababa portion ng passport niyo which is the Given Name and Last Name.

Aabutin ng 6 months if di mo tinutukan and magfollow up.

When we were applying ages ago, we only used Option 2. Wala naman naging problema. However, pagdating ng citizenship process, aayusin nila yan. On my case, tinanong ako kung bakit di ko sinasama yung middle name ko sa mga previous applications ko ng visa. Sabi ko lang "I was not sure what to include" and ang sabi lang nila isasama nila yung middle name to reflect kung anuman yung buong name mo sa PH passport.

Nakakalito talaga. We will go with Option 1 nlang para sa consistency ng documents and kung iaadd din nila eventually why not add it right now. hehe

Kaya lang tatlo-tatlo kasi pangalan nila, kaya baka nakaw-tingin and mag-request ng proof of name. Hayst. Haha.

For my citizenship, if I remember correctly, I did not submit any formal document/ID to confirm my parents details. The only document I submitted to confirm that they are my parents is my birth certificate.

Ang napansin ko dito ah, if you did not put it in writing or wala kang hard/soft copy ng isang document, ibig sabihin hindi mo ginawa. > @_sebodemacho said:

May name change ruling naman sila for their own documents. Kaso, yung birth certificate ko wala pa so old names pa rin nila nandun.

They're not included in my application (solo applicant lang ako) pero nakita kong hinihingi ang info ng parents/siblings, so just want to know if this could affect my application? I will declare accordingly pero just want to be prepared in case I need to find workarounds para dito.

    Maraming salamat.

Aabutin ng 6 months if di mo tinutukan and magfollow up.

Mas ok nga na maayos yung mga documents from the start.

Someone correct me, please, if Im wrong, kasi sa application namin wala naman ako inattach na documents pertaining to my parents.

Kung ok naman na sa MC, I think they will not ask for further documents, unless their family names are not the same as yours in "correct spelling" then need to do annotation sa PSA/NSO. Hope it helps

Thanks po! Marriage certificate po ba ng parents? (I am not married, fortunately ba yan or unfortunately :D ).

So basta ma-establish yung names nila through their own documents, not necessary na ma-establish yung relationship namin as child and parents through names?

Kaya lang tatlo-tatlo kasi pangalan nila, kaya baka nakaw-tingin and mag-request ng proof of name. Hayst. Haha.

Same case ako, so thanks sa pag-bring up nito, 'di ko namalayan na may potential impact pala! Haha.

Ano po dapat ilagay sa EOI/Visa Application to avoid this?

    Option1
Given name = First Name(s) + Middle Name

    Option2

    Family name = Surname

I would recommend usign Option 1 as much as possible. In Australia kasi hindi lahat ng tao may middle name (yung definition nila ng middle name is like a second given name in PH context), so kahit ibigay mo lang first name and last name, ok na sa kanila, at least for informal circumstances. May mga online forms na may text box for the middle name, pero may naka-indicate na "optional" na ibigay mo sya, so you don't have to provide it.

But for official documents or applications, I would suggest providing all the names (first name + middle name + last name) para sigurado, ideally kung ano ang nakalagay sa passport mo.

MC mo yan haha. fortunately (? depende sayo yan hahahaha), single ka, so walang inconsistencies na potentially makikita sayo, they wont require you to submit more docs to prove parent-child relationship. :D

i wonder though, if DHA really does make this an issue (to make someone prove parent-child relationship based on their submitted docs kahit hindi naman talaga kasama sa visa application yung parents). sana meron makasagot na naka experience dito haha. para ma-share sa karamihan. :)

Kaya First Name and Last Name ang pinalagay.
