sir, @esmejeff . I just got my Medicare Entitlement Statement this week and apparently from the time a temporary visa holder lodged their PR visa application, they are already entitled to BLUE (interim) Medicare card - so no medicare levy refund within that time frame. Same benefits as the Green, the only difference according to centrelink is it is only valid for 12 months.

Meron po ba ditong similar case? I've been meaning to cancel my 457 health insurance once I get my Blue card, will I violate the health insurance condition of 457 visa holder?

Salamat @aanover hindi pa kasi ako nakapunta sa centrelink to ask info narinig ko lang na entitled na if you apply for PR. Ibig sabinhin wala tayong rebate sa 457 visa health insuarance?Tama po ba?

@esmejeff yung rebate ba na sinasabi mo is yung medical levy exemption? If so, yes after lodging your PR visa, di na tayo exempted sa medical levy since pwede na tayo makakuha ng blue medicare card.

@aanover nakuha ko rin yung medicare namin blue daw yung ipost nila kc temporary pa for 1 year, pwede na kaya tayo di na kukuha ng private health insuarance as required by 457 visa? sino kaya may inputs dd2? helps plss.....

@esmejeff, sir since may medicare card na hinda na tayo in breach nung health insurance policy. But what i suggest is send an inquiry by replying dun sa thread ng issued briding visa. This way, documented nila na pwedeng na icancel yung health insurance para safe din during application decision. Also, take note na di covered yung ambulance sa medicare card kaya ang ginawa ko tinutuloy ko pa din yung health policy but on a lower price since selected benefit lang yung inavail ko. Anong line of work nyo sir, hope you don't mind me asking.

salamat sa info @aanover Oo kumuha pa rin ako ng private heath insurance dahil hindi nga cover ang ambulance sa medicare at iba pa ie dental, optical etc. Sa marine surveying ako na field sa WA ikaw saan ka?

same sir! no update sa visa application ko. Yung nomination bit ko sir naaprove na last 16/09/2016. akala ko nga po na same day din lang yung approval nung visa ko but receive status lang din sir. Question sir, nagpacancel ka din ba ng Health insurance mo after getting medicare?

My nomination has been approved last month and I just lodge my 186 visa last week ask ko lang ko lang kung ok lang magpamedical kahit wala pa advice ng CO.Thanks

@onairos nagpamedical na ako kahit wala pa CO. Nagpaschedule kami sa.BUPA since may HAP id number na.binigay yung agent namin after lodging the visa.

Hi Sir @esmejeff, we got ours last month 13th of Dec 2016, took 8.5 months of waiting. Direct Entry Stream, decision ready application. Yung status sa immi from application received diretso finalized.
