Interestingly, nag tanong ako sa FB groups about their nomination approval experiences; ang dami sa kanila na passport lang ang inupload AT WALA NG IBA.

Mukhang ganun yung situation kung offshore (no claims for earnings) + single ka (no partner evidence).

Hello alam kong maraming beses nang natanong ko pero for some reason I can't find a concrete answer.

So say I have my 190 visa from VIC na. Currently kasi my company is headquartered in Sydney and I want to continuously work with them. Since 190 VIC yung visa ko, I'll be living in Melbourne (because of limitations).

Will there be any issues if work from home ako from Melbourne pero yung company ko is headquartered in Sydney?

I'm aware of the "live and work in the nominated state for 2 years" rule, pero parang na-spot ko sa declaration na "live" lang yung nakaspecify, not work. Hopefully I get some help regarding this! Thank you!

I'd think it would be okay since you will be technically living and working from Melbourne pa rin? Your location would be the basis, not necessarily where your employer is. But then again I believe the point ng condition na yan to "live and work" in the sponsoring state is to foster the economy of the specific state (?), so not 100% sure how interstate remote work fits into the picture.

Actually napanood ko na yung video na yan eh pero pang 489/491 nga siya. Pero inassume ko since mas lax yung 190 compared sa 491, then maybe baka same rules apply as per Karl Konrad's statements.

I suggest you confirm this with LiveInMelbourne. Perhaps they can help you better, at least official answer yung makukuha mo sa kanila.

@mariusinbrisbane I have read before that there's no visa condition that you need to stay in the sponsoring state, but this is more of moral obligation, commitment you agreed upon accepting the 190 visa.

So my personal answer, there's no issue with you working remotely for NSW company.

When they issue you a work contract when you get here, ask them to specify in your contract that you will be working in Melbourne/VIC. I have an SA-sponsored 489 visa & my company is headquartered in Sydney. Sa work contract ko they specified that I will be working in the Adelaide metro area. Just to cover your bases.

Additionally, when you file your income tax you can claim WFH deductions. So pwede mo rin magamit yun as proof na you are working from home in VIC, just in case this becomes an issue.

skills, passport, english lang muna. plus the other docs required special for onshore applicants, i believe.

In my opinion, better submit po. You need to prove po kasi that the points you have claimed is valid based on the documents you will submit.
