Just like to ask for your inputs.
I arrived in Perth last week and I immediately applied to Centrelink online and nabigyan nmn ako ng CAN. Afterwards, I went to a Centrelink office and I asked if there'll be any assistance or support that I can get. I have a PR189 visa and the representative told me that I cannot get anything until I have been in Australia for 104 weeks (2 years). Prang na blangko ako ksi prng wla n ako matanong after ko malaman n wla pl sila maitutulong s ken. I am married nga pla but my husband is yet to follow me here maybe at the end of this year (or earlier i hope) because of his contract in Malaysia. We don't have a child yet so I was thinking that maybe they only give family assistance/benefits.
I went their the second time to ask if they can register me for the Job assistance program. They only gave me a job seeker's ID and then wala na. I was expecting that they would give me a list of the Job assistance provider but they only said that I could get them online which is fine because i already have the list. But you see on the humanservicesonline website, it is indicated that Centrelink could arrange an appointment between me and the job assistance provider (this is like a recruitment company). I tried to use the job seekers ID online to one of the providers but it was not accepted, haaays. So now I am again to go back to Centrelink and I would like to have all of the questions ready to ask them. I hope that you can fill me up with more inputs.
