ang alam ko inalis na yung ceiling for state sponsorship. so yung remaining ceiling for this year ay for 189 na lang.

sabay mo marereceive yung invitation for 190 at yung result ng nomination kung successful ka. kaya ok lang na 2 yung application mo, kasi automatic naman na maclose yung isa kung mag lodge ka na ng visa application. may cases na pwede ka ma invite sa 2 🙂

explaining why you would like to live and work in Victoria. In your statement you should address:

 Why you have not visited Victoria on your previous trip/s to Australia

 Why you would prefer to live in Victoria instead of the other states/territories you have visited

 Why you do not want to live in the other states/territories you have visited

 Your professional prospects in Victoria compared to the other states/territories

@ryanjay, oo nga e swerte tyo ang bilis dati, buti ka pa may work na! Nag email kanina lang ang VIC haha nagtatanung ng updates. sabi ko nalang July 1 pa punta namin sa Melbourne. Binigay ko nalang temporary address namin dun.

guys, when you lodge for VIC SS at 65 points, does it give you an advantage over 60 points na applicants? thanks

@cavalier18 yes, i lodged a new ACS assessment at AUD500. backup plan lang in case wala pa invite by august. kasi yung comp eng'g course ko hindi daw related sa 261111 kaya hayun 60 points lang ako. pero hoping pa rin meron ss (65 pts) invite by then. from what i read sa ibng forums parang wlang 60pts na 2611 na nainvite under 189 as of august/september 2013

i think walang bearing yung points, kasi yung availability ng job mo sa labor market nila yung nichecheck nila. so kahit na 70 pts na yun tapos hindi naman kelangan yung occupation mo sa job market nila, i think wala din use. may mga 55 pts lang naman na nag apply ng VIC SS na naging successful un application.

sana nga meron ss invite ng victoria by june or july.

akala ko kasi meron bearing ang points sa ss vic.

@cgm, nope, walang bearing ang points, I remember may mga kasabayan ako sa kabilang forum na nag lodge ng VIC SS na mas mataas ang points kaysa sa akin, they got 60/65 points na w/o SS and were applying for Software Engineer and Software Tester. Ako naman 55 points lang w/o SS and was applying for Analyst Programmer. I got invited and sadly they did not. So it really depends on what SOL you are in. I also think tinitingnan nila yung resume mo, kung ano ba ang mga naging past job mo at kung ilang years na. So yeah, tama si @rooroo, they invite people who can supply yung demand ng job market nila.

Hi fellow Pinoys,

I found this thread closely relevant sa concerns ko regarding my application for a visa in Victoria.

First share ko muna yung situation.

Im an ECE with more than 5yrs exp sa Telco Industry. I have a relative in Victoria who is willing to sponsor para mkarating ako don. Long way pa ako kasi i just took ielts last May 17 waiting for the result pa pero pinaplano ko maigi as early as now kasi magpapaassess nq ng skill after dumating ang result ng ielts ko.

Patulong sana ako if may idea po kayo on the ff concerns:

Yung Uncle ko hindi ko first degree uncle, first cousin sya ng mama ko so sa culture natin uncle ko sya. Assuming kaya ko iproduce ang supporting docs to prove our blood relation (family tree and birth certs of people involved), macoconsider bang eligible family member sya para sponsoran ako?
Related to #1, that shud be visa 489 po?
Alin po ba ang mas ok ko gawing direction, visa 190 (victoria state sponsorship) then just state na may relative ako don na magsusupport sakin? Or i should go for visa 489 pero possible concern is eligibility ng sponsor ko.
Relative to #3, however ung nominated skill ko mukang wala sa SOL ng Victoria PERO nasa SOL ng Australia in general, in fact nsa top 6 indemand skill listed sa skillselect (telecommunication engineer). Should I pursue visa 190 with this possible conflict sa general SOL at Victoria SOL?
