Not entirely ACS related, pero choosy ba yung mga employers if wala ka pang experience locally?
May kakilala/alam ba kau dun na software engineer na kahit 10+ years of experience nah, pero nahihirapan mag hanap ng work dahil prefer ng employer ay yung may experience na locally? Or hindi naman bearing yun? Or am I just overthinking? ๐
Share ko lang experience ko baka makatulong.
Last June 2023 we arrived here in Melbourne as student visa, yung partner ko yung student so may full working rights ako. I have 7 years exp as network engineer. I was unemployed for four months, multiple rejections even sa mga odd jobs. Yung ibang company ang hanap nila is PR kasi ang industry is security/defence that requires security clearance which only PR/citizen can get it. I cannot say if they prefer may local experience since nakakaabot naman ako sa technical interview pero baka factor yun kaya hindi ako nakukuha after ng final interview. ๐
