Hello po, do you have any tips po pano magrequest sa current employer ng Employment Statement for ACS with JD without them knowing na for migration, like example for tourist visa kunwari etc? We're worried na baka makarating sa boss ni hubby yung request from their HR eh. Thank you!

Sa current employer ko since naka work visa lang din ako sa Singapore, I said "for skills certification" yan mismo ang word haha. Binalikan ko yung email ko eh so for upskilling, ganon.

May slight takot kasi ako before na baka icancel yung work visa ko kung sabihin ko na for migration to other country. HAHA! So okay lang yan. So far nirenew naman nila visa ko. Ang ending, wala naman sila pake. Nung nag-apply pa nga ako police clearance sa Singapore, may question doon, bakit ka aalis ng Singapore (choose 3 reasons) and to which country ka lilipat ganon.

I just couldn't tell them for loan purposes kasi parang bihira naman kelangan ng job description sa loan application di ba, alam naman ng HR yan. Sabihin mo nalang, magpapa certify ako eh kelangan yan.

The HR Director always ask help from me and saved him from a lot of trouble (work related). Noong time na himingi ako ng pabor, he didn't asked anything and even expedited my request. Na swerte lang. Hehe

I would say it's for a loan if ever man iba situation.

Yes tama ka 3 occu ANZSCO codes yung pwede inominate for assessment.🙂 based sa skills na ilalagay mo automatic na mag suggest ang system ng 1 or more ANZSCO codes na match sa skills mo.🙂 Like example sa skills in solution architecture, systems dev mgt, software design, application support etc.

payo lang sa mga nag plano palang, icheck ang minimum point na na iinvite recently sa visa (190, 189, 491) sobrang taas kasi ang requirements, napaka dami kasing competition sa IT at hindi na to priority sa totoo lang.

Icheck niyo ang possibleng points niyo, ako na 4 year course IT sa magandang school, pero dahil sa hindi Tier1 school ang bagsak ng Bachelor course ko ay Diploma lang sa Australia (10 pts lang)

hindi biro ang pera na gagastusin ngayon sa skill assessment ng ACS

ako 263111 Computer Network and System Engineer, 90 pts sa 491 ni invite wala. madami din mga na invite na noon way back 2022 pero hangang ngayon wala pa din grant.

i would suggest to try expanding your EOI to other states, baka po dun ma-invite kayo 🙂 just my 2cents

Another thing. Qld humingi ng mas onteng invites for this FY. If i remember correctly nsa 600 each lang ang 190 at 491. So mas onte compared to previous FY. Maximize na lang ang chances by considering other states. In the end naman sabi ng iba pwede ka rin lumipat states after visa grant.

491 Family sponsored at QLD state lang lang ang target ko kasi may bahay na dun yung brother in law ko, mas kakayanin ng family ko(family of 3) na mag simula kung sakali. Dahil sa high cost of living ng ibang city at ng Australia.

question lang din po baka masagot niyo, ang visa 491 kasi bawal sa mga major city mag work, (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, etc.) at sa mga regional areas lang pwede, ang concern ko kasi sa visa 491, baka sobrang hirap makakuha ng same ng work ko Network Engineer or any IT Related jobs sa mga regional areas kasi nasa city ang IT.

with regards naman sa job availability, never ko nakita na nagkaroon ng problem looking for a job in IT, need mo lang mag-diversify kasi dito sa AU, need na meron ka alam not just on networking, but on systems, security, cyber, and such, for short, jack of all trades 😃

my suggestion po for you, try to look for other states, not just QLD, mahirap makakuha ng invite sa state na yan, lalo na kung di po kaya makuha yung 100 points sa EOI, actually, kahit sa ibang states, talagang pataasan ng points, and with the current point that you have, mahirapan ka na po talaga, would suggest also considering looking for sponsors maybe, baka po meron kayo makita na willing mag-sponsor, that is also another avenue you can explore

At kaya ako nag post kanina dito, para sa mga nag paplano palang mag pa assess sa ACS, na hindi kayo matulad sakin na kahit nag max pts ako sa english, max experience pero Diploma lang ang assessment dahil sa course at school matutulad kayo sakin na mababa ang points, 90pts lang sa 491, wala pa din chance.

at least 100 PTS, para mag ka chance lang ma invite.

While it is true, that local experience could give you an edge and advantage, but reality is, it's not always required to have it unless you are customer facing where "cultural behaviour" is integral to how you conduct work or business.

The ICT industry at large can be black and white. It's a matter of whether you got the skills for a role or not. That's the major consideration for IT roles.

Kunwari, ang hanap nila ay specific to web development, syempre they would not hire someone without the knowledge on tech stack related to that, e.g PHP, JavaScript Frameworks, etc. 🙂

Upskilling and tailoring your CV to highlight your skills are key as well. Dont settle to going back to entry level, when you can bring industry experience and tenure to the table. Dont settle for less. Do not be discouraged dahil hindi lahat ng companies would look for local experience. Be confident with your skills.

Pasintabi na lang rin ano, let's try to overcome the inferiority complex that we Filipinos have culturally. Karamihan satin feeling natin kasi mas mababa tayo sa ibang lahi and easily, we invalidate our own efforts and past professional experience. Going out of the Philippines and our comfort zone can be really daunting, but these are the choices that we made to move forward in life. Own them.

I very much agree to this one. Don’t get fixated on just one state and honestly, the 491 family sponsor is subject to priority points. Invites tend to be slower since you’ll be competing with applicants who have much higher points than you. Unlike if 491 regional sponsored, it’s the state that dictates the selection criteria and having high points is not the be all and end all.

With regards to employment, I agree, what they’ll prefer is local experience. Not because they look down on you but it’s just a sensible decision. If you put yourself on the employer’s perspective, if they have to choose amongst candidates who all have the skills and attitude they look for…the one who’s got local experience will have an advantage. Hence @baiken tips are correct, initially, the aim is to get your foot into the labour market, perhaps give it a year’s work and that’s when better opportunities will come your way.

yes po, as long as meron po kayo positive assessment from your governing body, pwedeng-pwede gumawa ng multiple EOI's for it, more chances of winning po sya 😉
