How to convert PH Driver's License to AU Driver's License?

So kahit may PH license kukuha pa rin ng Learners card? Ang dating parang wala xiang kaibahan sa totally walang PH license at nagstart sa Learners talaga tama po ba?

Pwede po bang pagsabayin ang Knowledge test at Hazard Test sa isang araw?

Pag less than 3 years ung PH license, Probationary po ba ibibigay?

wife here..honestly, from student's permit direct na to Prof, di na ako nag-non prof, naka-fixer kasi so di dumaan driving test sa LTO..nag driving skol naman ako when I got my SP but di nman gaano na-practice kc full-time mom sa 1 yr old..

ano po ba better, practice dito again na left hand drive or better na dyan nalang para di ma-GGB kc right hand drive..

@MrBean Sa pagkakarinig ko kailangan ng LTO Certification kung walang card pero verify ko na lang din.

Malaki ang kaibahan pag from the start ang pagkuha mo. Hindi siya diretso into Full license. Bago ka maging Full License holder daraan ka muna ng P's (Red and Green). Dapat yung Learner's permit hawak mo siya for a certain period of time depende sa age bago ka makakuha ng P's mo. After ng P's which may take for years tsaka ka makakakuha ng Full license.

Hindi pwedeng pagsabayin yung Knowledge and Hazard test kasi binobook siya beforehand. Pwedeng magkasunod na araw kasi tinanong ako sa Vicroads dati kung gusto ko ng magpabook for the Hazard after passing my Knowledge Test.

Kung full license yung sa Pinas then full license din ang conversion niya rito sa Au.

@chehrd - not sure on vicroads. But here in sydney, if less than 3 yrs ang experience mo sa driving, it will be still considered as P1 once you passed the DKT and Practical. Mas better na dito ka na sa Au kumuha ng lessons to drive para maexperience mo mismo yung daan dito. Or better yet, since yung hubby can easily convert to OZ full license, sya nalang magturo sayo in preparation for your practical exam here. Goodluck 🙂

salamat @MisterKehn ..si hubby nalang para mas tipid..need pa ba talaga ng certificate of first issuance on hubby's part to prove number of yrs sa driving?

@chehrd Mas okay na rito na magpractice kasi iba yung road, yung side ng driver's seat, road rules, roundabouts at rules sa giving way. Hindi na need pa ng certificate of first issuance, titignan lang yung Ph license card sa VicRoads. Saang state ba kayo? kasi every state varies. 🙂

I called VICROADS, ang sabi sa akin kung receipt lang daw, hindi daw sufficient. Pwede raw kumuha ng letter (with the Letterhead) from LTO kung saan nakalagay yung status ng Ph license, yung type of license, date of issuance and expiration date na rin. Another option is to get a letter dito sa Consulate sa Australia saying that it has verified your license details from LTO and of course containing the above information as well.

@chehrd With regards to your question with the pro and non-pro, makoconvert both into full license regardless.

I was informed as well na yung Philippine License, as long as it's a full license kahit na kakakuha mo pa lang (kahit na 1day old), you can convert it to a full Au license (by passing the 3 tests). Sa ibang countries daw kasi like HK, they need to have it for a year before they can convert it here.

Another info is that if you hold a Learner's Permit, you can drive with anyone who has a full license (overseas license- as long as valid, other state license,& Au full license holders)

Sorry, ni-back read ko, pde na palang gamitin agad for the first 6 months. But after 6 months, pagkatapos mo maipasa yung exams derecho na full Victorian license or dadaan pa din talaga ng learner's permit? Sa website kasi nakalagay na "If you want to continue driving in Victoria after this time you must get a Victorian driver licence. If your overseas driver licence has expired, you will still be able to take the drive test as you are exempt from holding a learner permit for the test."

@aug88 Hi, kailangan mo pa ring dumaan nung 3 tests. Kailangan mong kumuha ng knowledge test, hazard test at drive test. Ibig sabihin niyan na since may overseas license ka na kahit expired pwede ka pa ring magundergo ng drive test kasi exempted ka na for the Learners stage. Pag wala ka kasing overseas license, hindi ka basta bastang makakaconvert into Full kailangan mo munang ihold yung LP mo for 3months bago ka magprogress into red and green Ps then into Full. Hope that makes sense, hehe

Hello po may question po ako sana may makasagot. Talaga po bang after 3 months pa after passing the Learner Test bago makapagtake ng hazard perception test? May license po ako from pinas.

@GSW That's if you're starting from scratch meaning no overseas license. If you have an overseas license then you can do it right after passing the knowledge test (VIC)
