Sharing the good news! Lodged our citizenship application last 22 April 2021.

Less then 2 weeks from lodging, received an email today for Test and Interview scheduled on 20 May 2021. :smile:

Ambilis lang! We are in SA and I selected a regional testing site near us.

did you have to submit the original by post or did you just send the scanned copy?

Yeah during interview hiningi... basta ang sinabi lang... "I think you still have an overseas penal clearance to submit (hindi sinabi which country, though tumira ako sa Pinas and Thailand)..... but you can still take the citizenship tests.... once you get your clearance, upload it to your Immi Account, and then email us once you've done so... <DHA office ng Brisbane>"

So hindi ko na sinubmit yung original hardcopy ng NBI and Thai PCC, inupload ko lang sa Immi Account.. then inemail ko yung DHA Brisbane na na-submit ko na... then after a day I checked my Immi Account.. Approved na status.... then after a week may nareceive akong letter by post from DHA Canberra confirming yung approval ng citizenship application..

Tagal na ah..Nov. pa approval. 1x pala sked for May..yong para sa April 1 ceremony kasi nacancel.

Kelangan pa ba pumunta phil embassy ipacancel passport pag nakuha mo na ang australian passport mo at ayaw mo mag dual? Or matic na yun

Hi has anyone received an invite to the ceremony in Melbourne specifically Melbourne CBD on the 19th of May 2021? I've been waiting for 5 months and I still haven't received an invite whereas my friends in Sydney have received their invites 🙁(

ang alam ko matic na yun pag nag expire na yung passport mo..

Just had my citizenship exam and interview. Sa application ko, wala akong nilagay na middle name pero since yung passport at IDs ko may middle name at consistent yung mga presented docs inupdate nlang application ko at nilagyan ng middle name. Hopefully, di na magask ng additiinal docs. Yung exam madali naman very helpful yung citizenship app.

Ask ko lang, gaano kaya katagal bago magupdate yung immiaccount or before sila magsend ng update?

Di pa ba naapproved? Usually your immi account shows APPROVED kung afyer ng exam inapproved na ng case officer.

Do you think they will ask additional documents? Till now the status is still received though.

My wife got an approval now but mine is still received. Not sure why, the only reason that i could find is my answer to the question "if i have plans to travel overseas?", and i said no. Then she asked me again what if the border is open and i answered "might be". Just paranoid here
