Wow Congrats Glaiza!!! I'm so happy for you! Habang binabasa ko post mo, nakkarelate ako.
1) Sabi ng mga taga-dito, wag daw muna tlga maging mapili sa work. Naghhanap din ako ngayon ng mga casual/part-time jobs while waiting for a job posting related to my actual core competency.
2) Yes, build a lot of networks with friends and recruiters. ๐ May mga nakakausap akong recruiters via linkedin. It's just that right now tlgang wala pang mga job posting sa skillset ko. May mga connections ang mga recruiters and sometimes parating pa lang sa pipeline, alam na nila. Kaya very important to build a relationship with them. ANd yes, referrals would help.
3) Yang online job opportunity na yan muntik na rin ako mabiktima. Nagsearch ako sa google about the company and found out an aussie forum that says fraud nga sya... It involves wire transfers to fulfill some money laundering acts.. Good thing mababait mga tao dito sa Australia ๐
One thing I also learned, have an Aussie local review your CV format. I was so wrong with this, I'm so confident na kase with my CV. hehehe
oh well I don't have work yet but believing God that greater things are yet to come. In the mean time, press on towards the goal muna ako.
Thanks for sharing your story, very inspiring!!! Indeed God blessed the desires of your heart. So happy for you! ๐
