Hi! my son got his Permanent Residency (PR) approved just last week, March 2018. But he and his partner have been living and working lawfully in Tasmania for more than 2 years already. My friend in Melbourne said he has to be a PR for more than 2 years before he could sponsor me as a parent. Is this correct? should we wait for 2 more years before my son could sponsor me. please help. I plan to apoly for an aged parent visa. each day month and year is precious to me.

  • i have this question: my son will soon apply for subclass visa 887 for permanent residency. He wants to include me, as her mother, in her application. one requirement says: i should have " "documents showing that the relative lives in your household " ... we have lived together before... but now my son lives in Tasmania and I am here now in the Philippines. So how could we live together? I am 64 years old and my son is almost 40 years old with his live-inpartner with a 489 visa.
