Hi everyone! I'm new here and while reading some of the discussions mas lalo akong nagwoworry about my student visa application. My class will start on sept 22, i just lodged my visa on sept 11 and i received an acknoweledgement letter together with a medical request on sept 12. I was worried baka d na ko umabot with my orientation so do you guys have any idea if is it possible that I would get my visa app result this week? I haven't got any plane ticket yet so I was hoping na sana malaman ko na kung grant para this weekend I can go ahead and travel na. And I'm also waiting for a good result. :)
7pm pala kasi yun. hindi muna ako nagpapagabi masyado sa labas ngayon at bagong dating pa lang ako. hehe. anyway, will save your mobile no. and will connect with you sa linkedin. I'm Chiliast Juan, 0421888131.
Hello po! Would it be okay if I ask something re 189 visa po? I'm planning to apply for that visa po sana. I'm also an Electronics Engineer, licensed and have two years working experience going 3. Should I wait for my 3rd year to get the points or ok na yun if I still have 2? My previous work was in a telecommunications company for 2 years and then I transferred to IT company but my work is still related to telecommunications. I'm quite confused which code should I apply, Electronics Engineer or Telecommunications Engineer. Do we have options which state to live? I have a relative living in Melbourne and I prefer getting there. Could you please enlighten me somehow? :) Thanks in advance.
"Should I wait for my 3rd year to get the points or ok na yun if I still have 2?"
-- minimum DIAC points claimable for work exp closely related to nominated occ is 3 yrs equiv to 5 points, then 5yrs above equiv to 10points, 8yrs above 15points. u must meet this minimum requirement base sa points na icclaim mo.
"I'm quite confused which code should I apply, Electronics Engineer or Telecommunications Engineer."
-- im a licensed ECE too, and working in a telco for more than 5 yrs now. if yung sum na ng exp mo is going 3 pa lang, i suggest na icompose mo yung CDR mo (combination of first and second employment) in a way na nakahighlight yung Telecom side ng work mo in IT company. That way, pede ka magpaasses as Telecom Engineer with 3 yrs exp (5 DIAC Points).
"Do we have options which state to live?"
--Yes, as long as mameet mo ang requriements for visa 189, pede ka magchoose khit san ka state pmunta if magrant visa. otherwise, if u fall for visa 190/489 (state sponsorship), need mo mameet requirements ng state na prefered mo PLUS diac reqruiements.
may mas marami pang may clearer views about sa mga tanong mo, hintay hintay ka lang hehe. what i shared is what i basically learned form them too.
