Virgin mobile here ... plan ko @29 - $450 credit call and text local/international then roll over kapag hindi naubos. Planning to upgrade on 3rd quarter this year wait for new release version Samsung galaxy note 3 or 4.

Also, suggestion ng friend namin is to get the postpaid na bundled with the mobile unit na over getting a separate phone. We're in Sydney btw.

Virgin mobile uses the Optus network. Telstra network is great but expensive. Vodafone have the same offer plans with Virgin mobile but I don't know kung may roll over. Virgin mobile can wave remaining 2 to 3 months kung gusto nyo magpa upgrade ng phones.

You can choose any plans na pasok sa budget ninyo. pero kung palagi kayo tumatawag sa Pinas better to have $60 plan.

ito yung link new release galaxy s5 http://www.virginmobile.com.au/Shop/ProductDetails/14304/Samsung-Galaxy-S5-White

ito naman sa iphone I'm not sure kung ano ang latest version

I agree with totoy, normally 2 lang talaga ang TELCO na merong infrastructure ... its TELSTRA and OPTUS ... yung virgin, vodafone at kung ano ano pang provider ginagamit nila e OPTUS towers ( not sure about vodafone ) .. so mag iiba lang talaga ang coverage mo if you either choose telstra or not telstra ... ang siste kasi nakiki gamit lang yung ibang provider sa tower ng TELCO ...

if you are going to get virgin check out kung ano magandang promo nila ... normally either bibigyan ka nila ng 1 or 2 months free or bibigyan ka nila ng additional bandwith like me I have a 30$ plan pero nung kinuha ko yung plan meron silang promo na additional 2GB data

    sharing my view...

I am currently using virgin $29 plan. I was not able to use all the free call/credits since I am not a heavy users.

Why not able to consume data/credits on $29 plan?
    - If you already have internet at home, connect your phone to internet/wifi
    - If you and members of the family are with Virgin, its free call between virgin-to-virgin.
    - If I am in the office, you may use company office phone to call locally.
    - Before I leave the home to office, i try to browse facebook and download email on my phone so I can read it offline while travelling to the office.
    - going home, there are free MX newspaper to read on the train that keeps me pre-occupied.

After my contract finished, I plan to switch to pre-paid (amaysim or Aldi). Get the lowest mothly recharge or maybe get a 365 days pre-paid plan and reload when needed.

If I need a new phone, there are mobile phone that you can buy outright. Wait for sale or special offers. Look at jbhifi or Kogan for special offer. You can also ask for price matching.

Get the plan that you can afford.
Decide if you want a new phone and the kind of phone that meets your needs.

If someone can suggest a better way of savings for low user like me - much appreciated :-)

I'm using Virgin postpaid $40 plan. 1.5GB data and $450 credit na nagro-rollover pag di mo nagamit the previous month. So far I'm satisfied and hindi ko din nauubos yung credits. :)

I got the virgin $60 plan, $700 credit and 3Gb data. Every month may roll-over ako, malaki ang $700 for me. Just over 1Gb lang nagagamit ko sa data. So sobra sakin ang $60 plan. Pero satisfied nman ako sa service. After matapos contract baka mgdowngrade ako. Tipid din pag may time. hehe

YES, You can retain your number kahit anung mobile network basta sa Australia.

Virgin mobile lang ang alam ko na may "roll over" kapag hindi mo naubos ang credit last billing.

Can you use that value for mobile data in case lumampas ka sa allocated mobile data mo? Salamat.
