Starting a business in Australia is simpler pero ang company tax rate po sa Australia ay 30% so nagiging 'ok' lang magsimula ng sariling practice sa Australia kung nasa 45% tax bracket na ang kinikita ng tao.
Dun naman po sa spouse tax offsets, yep, marami pong ganun but you need to be a resident for two years (I think) before you can start declaring offsets or deductions

Ang unemployed partner ok gawin director, but I doubt if pwede mo I claim as 'paid' employee. Yung ganun instance kasi dapat parehong my pinapasok na income sa company.
Maraming IT consultants na nag set-up nang company at ok naman yon.
On the other hand, teammate ko na-audit nang ATO.
So hindi to dodgy, pero pag-aralan nyo lang mabuti and consult a really good accountant. I'm sure maraming naman pinoy na may positive experience sa pag set-up nang company.

Pwede po kayo mag salary sacrifice at the start and in the middle ng employment. You can ask to salary sacrifice at any time.
Kind regards,
