Master's degree - full time work for spouse

My spouse is taking Master's degree in Perth. Based on what i have read online, i am entitled to work full time 40 hrs a week. Is that true?

What are the chances that I would be employed here in Perth? I am planning to apply as web developer or digital marketer (10 yrs experience) in a firm if given a chance. Do you guys have similar experience?

Tulong po.

yes, you are entitled actually to unlimited working hours. so kahit mag exceed ka pa sa 40, ok lang. as for your other query, sorry have no idea. let's wait for others to repely :)

We planned to move sa Perth. Although i can work unlimited time kasi yung wife ko will take Masters, yun nga lang requirements nila sa Indeed is PR. I have 11 yrs of experience sa Digital marketing and may skilled assessment ako, pero medyo may kaba pa rin baka mahirapan maghanap ng trabaho. Mahal kasi yung tuition, need mag ipon.

Possible ba makapasok as office staff? Starting magkano ang weekly salary.

    Thank you @batman

@dee0829 If ever we plan to bring our kids sa Perth, mahirap kasi mawalay sa mga anak. Based sa research ko free school ang kids if the parent is taking Masters degree. Tama ba ako?

@anzone I haven't worked since arriving in Australia, but the tips I've gotten from my uni's career centre workshops regarding finding jobs is that you can start with casual jobs just so you can garner the "local experience" that most companies look for. Another way is to do volunteering, to expand your network/contacts and to gain (again) "local experience." Applying directly to companies without local experience does take a lot of time if you're not PR, so it will really depend on your decision whether to keep waiting for callbacks for a specific occupation, or start immediately with a casual/part-time job then move on to a full-time job once you've gained the "local experience."

    Next steps: PTE exam

@anzone You can check SeekVolunteer to search for volunteering opportunities (I found mine there), or if you're moving to WA, you can check Volunteering WA. Maybe there are opportunities close to your occupation, and the contacts you gain from there can be your references when you apply for full-time job.

There are also those "hidden" job opportunities (whether casual or PT/FT), wherein the job openings aren't really listed on the job hunting websites. Walk-in applications usually work well for casual jobs in Australia; you can just go into restaurants/shops to ask if they're hiring and submit your CV (a few friends of mine have found jobs that way).
