Sa may Monash area kami, mag-airbnb lang din muna kami pagdating, sana makahanap din kagad ng permanent place don.

@newBeg19 yung husband ko nakakuha ng work sa mga online application (sobrang sinuwerte sa araw-araw na pag-aaply online) kaya mas napaaga ang BM namin, kasi gusto ng magiging boss niya na mag-start na siya by Feb. Ako hindi na muna magwork at pregnant, by that time mga 6months nako (1st baby), so parang nakakahiya na mag-apply at mag-mamaternity leave din ako.
@Giegie nagpa-box ba kayo from SG to OZ? Buti may bahay na kayo, kami mag-iinspect pa ng mga bahay pagdating tapos mamimili pa ng mga gamit.

hindi na kami nagpabox kasi mahal din ang bayad tapos may babayaran pa ata pagdating dun sa OZ. nag-add na lang kami ng additional weight sa baggage namin.

mas maganda fully furnish na lang kunin nyo na bahay para wala na kayong problema sa mga gamit.

@Giegie ay ang swerte nga. Di bale sissy kasi may work na si hubby mo kaya no worries na yan. Relax ka muna sa house. Ako 2yrs nako SAHM and I'm thinking na din maghanap ng work pagdating but still titingnan parin, baka kasi magwork ako tas ppnta naman sa childcare lahat sasahurin ko diba. Haha!

@newBeg19 yes nahirapan kami kasi wala kami kakilala dito s mel. Ngrent kami ng hotel and within 3 weeks kami nkahanap. Mahirap mkakuha ng room only pg couple lalo n if family. Kelangan din ng referral sa previous landlords nyo (contact number ok na) basta may 2-3references n landlord or agent nyo previously. Also, since wala kayong reference sa AU na previous lease, kelangan nyo mgprovide ng proof of funds to show kaya nyo mgbayad.

Remember, kelangan mg-apply at maapprove ng landlord ung application nyo pra makuha nyo ung lease. Di ibig sabihin na gusto nyo n kunin ung house at kaya nyo mgbayad ay kayo n ung kukunin n tenant ng landlord.

Also, may 100points ID n requirement pero madali lang mameet un nsa google lang ung details.

Advisable own house kunin 3br pra sulit. Kya lang ung 1 room at least paupahan nyo kasi mahal in the long run. D nman nagagamit ung isang room. Kya kami nghahanap ng pinoy na pwede makashare.

Another thing, pag own house, unfirnished lahat although may iba furnished (usually dishwasher lang ksama) so you need to buy your own appliances and furnitures which is very costly lalo n kung nagsisimula pa lang kayo.

Kung magstart pa lang kayo at concern kayo s funds nyo, kuha kayo ng room lang kasi usually may furnitures n agad and appliances or kuha kayo ng house then parentahan nyo ung isang room.

Rule of thumb, mas malapit s city mas mahal, mas maliit ung space.

Very efficient den ang public transpo dito (bus, train) pwede pa nga mgbike. Malalayo den ang mall dito although pwde mgbus

kami nastress na sa gamit namin...nghahanap kami ng pinakamura na pwde mapa-ship yung iba namin gamit, kulang ang 80kg samin na check-in. ang dami kasi namin toy collection at display souvenirs hindi pwde ipamigay at ibenta dahil sobrang sentimental value...3weeks na lang aalis na kme...huhuhu!

@adamwarlock agents are just collecting all these docs and pass it to the landlords to make a decision. Getting your own place is like applying for a job so, Just because you qualify doesnt mean ikaw na makakakuha ng place.

There's stiff competition and i'm sure one renting property are probably receiving a minimum of 10 to 30 applications (depende sa ganda ng place) so you need to beef up your applications with referrals. I remember na i attached a letter of intent pa nga sa mga application ko to tell them about me and why I badly wanted their place.

I’ll give you an example how stiff the completions is. Let’s say family of 4 kayo and you submitted your application to rent a two bedroom apartment. 100 points ka sa identification and your application is beefed up with referrals etc. Pero there’s another applicant na couple lang without kids, the documents they submitted are okay okay lang. Most landlords would probably prefer the couple for sure. Why? No kids eh, so probably they can maintain the place better and for sure both of them are working so there’s no concern of late payments.

In short, it is really up to the landlords to decide talaga and all you can do is hope they select you.

In a way similar din pala dito sa SG, although a lot more stiff nga ang competition if 10 to 30 applications for some rentals
