Few Tips!

I FRONTLOADED all requirements after lodging. Gaya ng mga nababasa ko dito sa forum. Hehe. Meaning, I uploaded all pertinent documents even without C.O. requesting them. These include NBI Clearance and Medicals. After lodging, I immediately booked an application to NBI and had my Medical scheduled at NHS Makati (since my preferred date of medical is available in their clinic) (Other clinics where you can get your medicals done if you’re in Manila are IOM and St. Lukes). I understood that these are time-sensitive docs that will expire in a year. But, as for me, at least for me, I don’t mind renewing my NBI again nor having my medicals again, before it actually expires. Costly, but incomparable with the benefits afterward. Anyway, this is for my own sake also, on the health side. In my experience, FRONTLOADING is effective. My application goes from “Received” to “Finalised”. NO Case Officer CONTACT, REQUEST, WHATSOEVER. But, guys, still.. do this at your own risk.

*I also submitted Form 80 and 1221. Even without CO asking for it. I submitted these, right after my lodgement/payment where the attachment prompt is shown. I uploaded these under ‘Other Documents’.

*Check all forms EOI, Immiaccount, 80, 1221, and others GAZILLION times before submitting. I remember myself checking all these every time and still finding something erroneous that I didn’t notice from the first checks. Have someone check it too, with fresh eyes.

*Always make your evidence/documentation like passports, and IDs at hand while filling up forms, always check and compare the numbers that are being asked. (e.g. Passport Nos, ID Nos, Addresses, etc)

*Always read the question marks icon for more information.

***Always include your MIDDLE NAME on your FIRST NAMES. **Every single time when you fill up something concerning applications in Au. Buti na lang nabasa ko agad to sa forum, nung may nagbrought up, at buti na lang nasa EOI stage pa lang ako ang waiting pa sa invitation kaya na-edit ko pa.

DIY IS SO SO SO DOABLE. Just equip yourself with knowledge about the visa and the processes. I’ve been reading all these since 2018 to date. I invested my time to study the flow and corners of these processes. It took me just a couple of months to get the job done. Submitted EOI September 11, 2022 and now, visa was granted at 11 April 2023. EXACTLY 7 months from my EOI submission to DHA. Slowlyyyyy but surely.

onshore ba yung friend mo kaya pwede sya mag appeal sa visa outcome? anyhow, ang tricky naman kasi meron akong nababasa sa mga fb groups na successful kahit nag retake ng PTE after naexpire yung docs. better to consult a migration agent to proceed.

At the time of invite, more than 3years na po ba ung PTE exam kaya sya nagattempt magretake b4 lodging?
Kung sagot sa number 2 ay yes, alam ko ground for refusal po talaga yun dahil lahat ng information sa eoi at the time of invite ay maglolock na po kaya kung ung PTE and/or Skills assessment ay more than 3years, mahina po ang chance of approval dahil may clause ang DHA na below 3years po dapat ang 2 mahalagang document na ito.

Correct me if Im wrong po.

pag narefuse visa nya, uulitin nya ulit yung process sa very beginning - lodge uli sya ng new EOI and wait to be invited. Kung mag apply sya ng any other visa, need nya imention na nagkaroon na sya ng record of refusal sa previous visa application. Rejections can affect subsequent visa applications.

Sa palagay ko hindi naman, kaya lang next time na maglolodge sya (in case student or anothee skilled migrant, kelangan nya na ideclare na may previous visa refusal sya and he/she may be asked for reason of visa refusal) pero i think ok naman magsubmit ulit another eoi or if kaya naman magstudent ay go for it po.

As long as I understand, wala po bearing ang stage 1 assessment, pero pag NER ka or Chartered is another credential na makakatulong when for ur career. Isa pa may mga states like Victoria or Queensland na required na registered ka for theses state to practice engineering.

You can apply NER or Chartered inside or outside Australia kasi purely industry based experience sya and not necessarily na may local (Aus) experience

Medyo ganito po yung case ko. Pero still waiting for the visa outcome. PTE expired on Nov 2021. Got invited Dec 2022. Nagretake po ako ng PTE nung Jan 2023 na (dahil hindi po ako aware sa clause nung DHA) and lodged the visa after.

Ano pong mas okay na gawin? I-withdraw ko nalang po ba yung visa application? Or magnotify po ako sa kanila ng incorrect answer? Given na hindi na po refundable yung visa application fee.

Lalo pa't meron na kong nabasang proof of the same situation na na-refuse yung visa. Dagdag mo pa yung awareness of the criteria na dapat at the time of invitation valid yung English test ko. Also, I dont think notifying them would turn this around.

Hard truth, honest mistake, and harsh reality lang talaga sya. Now, I'd rather choose to not have visa refusal in my records and think of ways to move forward from this.

Possible ba na while waiting for our 189 visa grant, mag-apply kami tourist visa going to AU then sa doon na kami maghintay ng 189 visa grant namin or red flag siya?

Kaya awareness is incredibly important, DIY or not. Dapat may tracker ka ng mga documents mo, para alam mo alin malapit na mag-expire. Responsibilidad natin as applicants yan.

Sobrang unfortunate lang nung ganyan situation.

Pero yeah, in the end, the best is to consult someone qualified like a migration lawyer para legitimate yung feedback na makuha. Personal opinions lang rin naman makukuha nya dito sa forum.

PERSONAL ANSWER: If I were in your position, I'll just face the situation by withdrawing my application at kakalimutan ko na yung binayad ko for the visa, since hindi naman refundable. Lalo pa't meron na kong nabasang proof of the same situation na na-refuse yung visa. Dagdag mo pa yung awareness of the criteria na dapat at the time of invitation valid yung English test ko. Also, I dont think notifying them would turn this around.

Hard truth, honest mistake, and harsh reality lang talaga sya. Now, I'd rather choose to not have visa refusal in my records and think of ways to move forward from this.

so magiging a rule is a rule po siya? kahit po yung previous PTE result ay hindi naman naka-affect sa points claimed compared sa latest PTE exam na niretake?

it all boils down to the validity of the documents upon invite. Maraming nangyari na ganyan last year - nainvite sila pero expired docs. A lot of them just gave up the invite. Better to think about withdrawing it na kasi as @_sebodemacho said, having a record of refusal can potentially be problematic on future visa applications

At the time of invite, more than 3years na po ba ung PTE exam kaya sya nagattempt magretake b4 lodging?

Kung sagot sa number 2 ay yes, alam ko ground for refusal po talaga yun dahil lahat ng information sa eoi at the time of invite ay maglolock na po kaya kung ung PTE and/or Skills assessment ay more than 3years, mahina po ang chance of approval dahil may clause ang DHA na below 3years po dapat ang 2 mahalagang document na ito.
