    @PeanutButter , question.
For car finance, kelangan ba ng both credit score and payslip sa car finance?

BASE ON MY EXPERIENCE lang yan ah? hindi ako expert jan.

They will usually ask for payslip para makita nila yung amount ng take home pay mo. Pag sa banks, may choice din if variable rate or fixed rate ang loan, and may iba na up to 7 yrs to pay.

Wow, after 4 months, I’m re-opening this thread. Haha

@PeanutButter I re-read your comment po, ang happy naman na may naglend sainyo ng second hand car for a very reasonable price. Nagsearch around ako sa Wagga area, and saw some second hand cars valued at 4000 to 10,000 AUD, do you think they would allow someone new to avail of financing. Kumbaga I could just show them the Job Offer letter or something like that? Or do I really need 3 months of payslip to be considered?

If not, then cash or marketplace talaga ang bagsak ko po. Haha. For cheap starter car.

Hi @MidnightPanda12, I'm wagga based and there's several filipino mechanics here who buy old cars and fix them up for resale, mostly in your budget range. Whereabout in Wagga will you be working? We have a transport network pero hindi sya lagi akma sa need mo na oras haha when we moved here, we bought our car from a dealership in new castle and had it transported here free of charge. You just have to haggle.

Re your pinakaunang question --- Wagga is very country, that means to say na not so multicultural ang population just like in CBDs, generally white pa din talaga but people here are very warm and in our 8yrs here, had not encountered any racist behaviour. If meron man, general curiousity like sa mga oldies when they mention how good we speak english lol I'm not part of the LGBTQ community myself but the country itself is very open and warm to people from all walks of life. There's hardly any social life here kasi nga shops closed at 3pm lol but pubs are very popular. Nevertheless, we love it here because it's very quiet, peaceful, and close to nature. We live near the lake. Ayon. And if we miss the city life (we used to live in Metro Manila), we'll just drive a couple of hrs to Canberra haha

Hi that is great to hear, actually nagcheck check din ako sa mga second hand cars na posting. I saw this one dealer “Murrumbidgee Car Sales” they have some listings, pero ofc need to see the cars if they are good.

Great to hear that Wagga is accepting. I’m actually gonna be based on Temora. Initially I was considering Wagga and drive daily, but one hour transport back and then forth is not good for my sanity. Haha. So I’m looking for accommodations now in Temora. I found one I like and within the limits of my budget. Hopefully ma-entertain ako ng landlord. I got no one to do the inspection though, my employer offered to look at the place, pero nahihiya ako kasi CEO yung kausap ko. Hahaha. I think he just offered to be polite.

Also when it comes to cars, I’m still looking at that range or more, like 10-15k to get a decent second hand car, like Toyota, Honda or Mazda with less than 100 to 150k miles. So far I’m getting searches as far as ACT and also Newcastle. Paano niyo po in-inspect yung car from Newcastle?

Kung sa car dealer naman (BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE) yung Audi namin is nasa 160k nung nakuha namin and so far so good pa din, walang problema as in ok na ok.

We bought it from the dealership kasi we knew no one then na marunong tumingin. Haha Tbh we didnt check it before purchase kasi ano ang point, di din naman kami marunong tumingin haha relied on the fact na we can return it if may issues in the first six months. We got a honda suv na 4yrs old with 90k and 5yrs na namin sya gamit, not once we had an issue. I think it was advertised for 18k tapos we haggled to 16k plus free transport from new castle to wagga. We found the dealer through carsales.com.au.

It's actually common for CEOs to do that for their migrating employees, some would even offer to vouch or offer the rental through the company kasi they understand na newly migrating employees wouldnt have the history na the real estate can use to evaluate whether okay ka na tenant and dito naman hindi masyado glorified ang company hierarchy so okay lang yan. I suggest to grab that offer kasi mahirap maghanap ng bahay dito ngayon even for those na may track record na.

    Thank you @PeanutButter and @alibanini1209

Maybe I’d grab that offer from my CEO for help sa paghanap ng rental accommodation. Do you think it’s okay to ask him to do the rental accommodation inspection?

And it is from Toyota na dealer pero Kia na sasakyan. Haha. Kia Cerato 2021 at 20,990 aud. They gave an estimated 377 monthly with 4k dp at 11%.

I think it is high and they said that they can give me a more solid rate once I arrive in AU.

Should I consider asking around from other lenders like banks or credit unions?
