@risa_c Hi, wala po syang bayad... nahihiya nga ako at di ko alam yung mga mistakes ko which would not be a problem here. Ang bait nga nung recruiter para sabihin pa nya yun.

Kundi magreply mga recruiters sa mail ko I make sure to follow up what happened to my application. I just make sure na hanggang 1 follow up lang.

@donking ang bait ng recruiter mo. pwede ba pa-PM ng name nya?
paano pala pag sa LinkedIn, basta nagme-message ka sa mga recruiter dun? di ko kasi alam kung ok lang basta mag-message sa kanila kahit wala sila sa network ko.

@yukishih yup minsan pero depende sa person na iaadd mo eh. THe best pa rin is to join groups muna before adding people. That way, may option ka to select anong group kayo.

@risa_c Hi Risa, direct recruiter yung sakin. Engineering kasi field ko kya medyo inaplyan ko ng technical writing. Sabi sakin dapat daw conventional.

Oo nga yung isang company na nabasa ko annual report nila, bumaba ung margins/income nila for 2012... Pero nevertheless, naghhire pa rin sila ng mga IT Consultants.. Depende sa needs cguro ng company..

hello, would like to ask if mahirap bang magapply sa mandurah..husband ko kasi is engineer tas ako naman architect. dito pa kami sa pinas at mejo nahihirapan kami maghanap ng work sa internet. bihira lang ata ang mga cad operator/anything to do with construction sa WA...

any advice? mejo nagiging desperate na kasi...we're planning to leave in April

@mrsniedo huwag po ninyo masyado alalahanin kung makakahanap kayo ng trabaho na angkop sa occupation niyo...puwede namang kumuha ng trabaho dun na part time etc. para may kinikita pa rin kayo habang hindi niyo pa nahahanap ang ideal job niyo

Share ko lang. I was able to talk with someone in the same IT Technology I'm in. He was hired while he was still in his home country (not the Phils.. hehe). I saw his skills/background in linkedin and his experience is very extensive.

I asked him for some tips in getting a job. Here is what he said:
"These people do not care about the multiple skills. They come up with very specific requirements and if you do not fit-in, they do not look at your profile. "
"Keep one excel sheet containing the job number, contact person, position, link for seek.com.au as well. Also, store the cover letter and CV for each job separately. It is important or else you will get confused...

"

That's why it's very important to tailor fit your cover letters and resume/CV to get noticed by the recruiters.

I think I'm not doing good enough in this area. My resume is still too long and contains a lot of information that are not relevant to the position I'm applying. hehehe We may need to take more time in customising our resume.

I'd say 1 hour or so? hehe

I'm still in Manila by the way and will be flying to Au soon.

@stolich18 nagawa ko na din yan sir, medyo mahirap talaga

nag-apply na ko ng different roles with different resumes
from Environment analyst, support analyst, Programmer, BA, Project coordinator depende kung magfit yung skillset ko. Minsan may tumatawag na agent/recruiter pero hanggang dun lang. Once pa lang ako umabot sa client interview iba yung napili.

@batobats oo nga kahit ako ramdam ko na mahirap.. hehehe Dito pa lang sa Pinas, ramdam ko na super competitive, daming capable and skilled.

Just hang on and don't give up, meron at meron yan.

Regarding recruiters sa linkedin, try joining muna po ung groups sa linkedin ng field of expertise ninyo. Medyo mahirap po maging specific dahil ung mga recruiters ay specialists din (within IT, marami pang iba ibang expertise).. Iba ung set of recruiters normally pag SAP sa recruiters ng ibang technology.
