Recently Skill Select released their month on month backlog data update, it has shown a considerable amount of applications in the Q, more than 25 k lodged status for 190 , 18K for 491 and 8k for 189. The number of seats or places in the GSM program remains unknown for the next FY.
Growing speculations is anticipated that the next FY will be reduced to pre-pandemic level due to a mass reduction is set to happen in the net migration halving the current which has been in the rack since the Migration Strategy was announced last Dec 2023.
An imminent 189 round is expected this June 2024. All is bound to happen any moment. The next best thing to do is to keep EOIs updated and valid before any invitation rounds happen to get the best possible chance and probability for an application to push through.
The next FY budget will be announced on the 14th of May which is ten days from now, hang on as we will end the year with more invites as allocations were also updated as at 30 Apr 2024.
Invitations were sent by the Australian states of Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia on 30th April 2023. However, the latest processing timelines provided by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) indicate that it may take longer than expected for many applicants to receive their visas. Specifically, 90% of applications for the 190, 491, and 189 visas are projected to take 15, 24, and 8 months, respectively. This news is disappointing for those who are waiting to be granted visas between October 2022 and April 2023.
If you received an Invite , wag na wag ng i-ammend pa ang EOI ayon yan sa NSW webinar
