PDOS experiences?

Dumating ako kahapon sa CFO an hour before PDOS. 30 mins hangang mgkapgbayad ng fee then meron pa 30 mins mgpahinga. Ok nman yung PDOS (aside sa nkakaantok), wala naman yung naririnig ko n ngooffer ng sim card.. hehe

Oo nga @tune09 . Pero wala kming mgagawa required cya para makalabas.. hehe. Ok n rin at nakaraos na.. hehe

Guys warning lang, be there at least 30 mins before, we tried to attend earlier kaso nahirapan kaming hanapin and natraffic sa Taft Ave. kaya na late kami ng 5 mins. so balik kami sa Friday. Admittedly kasalanan ko naman I thought I read somewhere here na yung seminar is sa Ayala lang (AIM Bldg.) kaya 3 hours from my location is more than enough travel time (Bundok pa kasi kami lol) then nung umaga na paalis na kami nagulat ako sa may Quirino Ave. pala sya Badtrip lang sayang ang Gas at Oras lalo na kung bebentahan ka lang ng sim at ng kung ano ano.

This is the reason why I opted to stay here in Singapore from Libya and not to enter Philippines. Kung anu anu na naman hahanapin ng immigration.
Kung tutuusin walang pakinabang yang PDOS na yan sa katulad kong OFW. Just a waste of time and money.

Couldnt agree more! Kaya on Friday sa seminar itatanong ko kung kanino ba mapupunta yung ibabayad ko, kay Napoles, Jinggoy, Bong Revilla o kay Manong Enrile. Gov't nga naman lalayas ka na lang hihirit pa ng huthot!

Question sa mga hindi nakapag PDOS because hindi dumaan ng Pinas going to Auatralia, if uuwi ka ng Pinas for any reason, kailangan ba mag PDOS before going back to Australia?

Ung friends ko, isa galing SG isa galing MY parehong dumiretso sa Au. Nung nagbakasyon sila sa pinas at pabalik na sila Au, hindi sila hinanapan ng pdos. Kasi nakita na may tatak na sila from au.

- no need basta nakita na nila sa passport na may tatak na, that would be fine. Actually papasok ako sa bansa natin this Christmas, in almost 3 years straight saka palang ako makakauwi sa atin.

FInally done with PDOS! Its not as bad as I thought, yun nga lang before start may isang napakahabang commercial ng TFC hehe... but the seminar itself is very informative and interesting.

hello po. pwede po bang mag PDOS kahit wala pang schedule ng pag alis? i mean kahit after 6 months pa ang alis mo, pwede parin ba mag PDOS as early as now?

when you get here you will realize that most of them are not applicable hehehehe

some of things they said e walang sense since puro lang naman theory yung sinasabi nila .... kumbaga in general hehehe anyway you still learn something

Just finished PDOS last march 11 2014. In general Ok nman sya in total mga 20 lang yata kami umattend. Madali lang makita ung building nya sa quirino dahil nagiisang kulay orange sa may stoplight. Masyadong mhal nga lang at panget ang lasa ng foods sa nakainan naming karenderia sa may likod ng building :-q

Mga 1030am kami dumating ang konti plang ang tao. Medyo ok nman ung mga staff na nasa windows medyo uminit lang ung ulo ko ng ipilit ng isang staff na dapat daw ilagay ung address sa australia sa form eh wala pa nga. Mag ied plang kami sa July. Nung napansin siguro nila na medyo umiinit na ulo ko eh hindi na pinilit.

Mga 2 hours and 20 minutes ang training. Medyo ok nman yung speaker na lalaki. Hes trying to make the discussions alive and crack some jokes. Ok nman, ready made slides and giving relevant infos. But even though i have severe headache and cough eh may mga ilan akong comments sa mga points nya. He keep mentioning DIAC eh DIBP na, small things but i didnt expect it from a speaker. He must be more updated than us. Kakamadali nya sa speech nya regarding dual citizenship eh he mentioned na disadvantage ng isang foreigner (referring to pinoy na nag acquired ng australian citizenship) eh hindi makakap owned ng condo properties sa pinas. Eh alam ko foreigner can owned up to 40% interest sa condo, the reason daming foreigners na may condo unit sa pinas. For land property i think nga natural born pinoy who became foreigner can still owned a lot up to a certain square meters (1,000 yata). In australia he mentioned 1 page resume is the norm. My point of view is 2-3 pages is the ideal pa rin. I even read in british expat forums na some employers even preferred longer and detailed resumes. So it depends tlaga sa hiring manager, a case to case basis.A certification from LTO is needed for license conversion, but i read here in forums sa license number plang alam kung when na issued license sa pinas. Anyways still good to have.

I have emailed the speaker for some of my comments pero wala pa reply. Nsa likuran kasi ako ng room at masama pakiramdam ko kaya i let him finish the seminar. Importante nman ung sticker at gusto ko na makauwi ng makapagpahinga hehe.

Overall ok lang. Still worth it na din ung 400 bucks kasi nga daw may fiber optic nman un sticker hehe and no expiration. And for the effort na din ng speaker.

Pwede kahit nga foreigner ka pwede. Dami nami kapitbahay na koreano hehe. Naguluhan lnga ako o nagmamadali lang sya. Naubos time nya sa pre departure topic kasi. Good thing natapos ng isang araw at malapit lng quirino sa place namin.

Sir, lester here. kaka-reciv ko lang ng visa grant notice ko last january as dependent ng partner ko. he is the primary 457 visa applicant and he is working na sa melbourne. mine too was also a 457 visa dependent type. ask ko lang sana sa may info kung ano pa need ko para hnd maharang sa immigration sa airport... mejo kinakabahan kasi ako baka maharang pa. all i have are the visa grant notice and passport. last time nagpunta ako ng philippine immigration, unfortunately nalungkot lang ako kasi hnd nila alam ang case ko. they gave me the number of immigration sa NAIA, pero many times ko tinawagan nagriring lang...:( nagpunta din ako sa CFO and nag-inquire kung need ko pa magPDOS. They told me na no need na daw dhl sa type ng visa ko. tinanong ko din sila dun kung need ko din bang magpunta ng POEA, sabi nila hindi na daw. pero until now hnd p tlga ako panatag kung wla ng magiging problem sa immigration.

When po ba dapat mag pdos? I mean wala ba yan deadline like ilang days dapat magpdos before your flight to oz? Kc next year panaman kami puntang oz then c hubby baka by july this yr naman

Walang deadline or expiration. Basta before kayo mag punta Oz para di ma question ng Immigration

search mo lang CFO philippines. Tuesday and Friday lang sked nila. Usually punta ka before lunch then seminar is 2:00-4:25 pm. Dalhin mo passport (plus photocopy), picture and visa grant letter. sa may Quirino lang sya. Pagsa south superhighway ka dumaan, nasa dulo lang sya ng intersection. Kulay orange na building near stoplights. madali mo mapapansin.

alam niyo po ba kung kailangan paren ng PDOS kahit kapag nakapag initial entry na galing sa ibang bansa
example:
initial entry: thailand to melb tapos balik ng thailand,
tapos thailand to pinas, tapos pinas to melb (for good na)

Hindi na kelangan. Plus mas mababang travel tax na rin ang babayaran niyo upon departure
