    Hello. Good day.

Question 1: Should I opt for VETASESS or Enginners Australia for my skills asessment?
ANZSCO CODE: 312211 - Civil Engineering Draftsperson

Meron akong positive assessment sa Vetassess as CE draftsperson (7.5 yrs experience) and as professional engineer CE sa EA (walang years deduction sa EA).

Sa Vetassess na lang if draftsperson, kasi cheaper and easier kasi wala na CDR. pero may deduction ang vetassess ng 1 year work experience..

I think wala namang bearing kung anong assessing body. parehas namang recognized ng DHA.

By the way nainvite ako sa Visa 189 sa Vetassess draftsperson nung Aug 22.

Same! I got invited nung Aug 22 with CE draftsperson. I was actually looking at visa 190/491.

As per my agent a year ago (hanggang ngayon naman siguro), mataas ang kompetensya pag Civil Engineer ang occupation at mas may chance ma-invite ang Civil Engineering draftsperson.

    Mas may chance ma-invite > @cvlantonov said:

okay. salamat po. So EAUST nlng ako. salamat.

No need CDR

I see.

I see.

Plans, sections, profile and details para may variety.

Ocge noted yan.

I'm planning to go to Australia I'm a Civil engineering graduate with 4 yrs experience of work but not yet license. ano po ba ang mas ok na way? Student visa muna or mag apply for 189 or 190? Thank you po. :)

wala din po ako licence.. ang maipayo ko is direct PR na either 189 or 190.

thank you po. tanong ko lang din po, ano po yung nagiging factors bakit negative ang nagiging Result sa VETASSESS and yung sa EA nyo po as Professional Engineer po ba yung pina assess nyo? Thank you po :)

Di ko din sure bakit ako nag negative nun. dahil di ako confident at first na maging positive sa EA dahil di ako licensed and most work experiences ko nun ay project management/supervision kaya sa Vetassess ako nagpasa as a Project Builder. Pero yun nga, nag negative sa Vetassess kaya tried my luck sa EA and got the positive assessment.

Without knowing the details, I could just but > @cvlantonov said:

Civil Engineer 233211 only Engineer Australia can assess. Construction Estimator Vetassess can asess. But if i were you can translate being estimator under Civil Eng, meaning you can translate all experience under Civil Eng Occupation. Civil eng under ANZSCO code is too broad one of its unit group is QS (estimator)

Usually with new migrants you'd be starting from scratch, so you could be looking at entry-level pay at first because you don't have local experience (your overseas experience may not factor in until you gain local experience).

I'm not an engineer in Sydney, but for entry-level/fresh grad roles I would expect somewhere around $ 60k-75k. Then you can just negotiate for a higher pay once you've gained some local experience.

Hi. This is possible po. It all depends on how you frame your CDR.

My experience breakdown is like this:

    PIC (Project-inCharge): 1yr+
    QS: 3yrs+
    Project Engr: 1yr+

Positive naman ang outcome as: Professional Engineer and Civil Engineer ang nominated occupation. Under EA yan.

2nd company ko nman structural engineering, 3D modelling and detailing

Episode 2: Structural Engineering with 3D modelling and detailing

Episode 3: Purely 3D modelling and detailing

okay na kaya yun? any advice po. thanks

Hi sir. And also, baket draftperson po yung pinili nyo hindi structuran engineer?

good day meron po ba ditong structural engineer yung position nila pero civil engineer yung chosen profession sa EA skills assessment? my dilemma is structural engineer yung experience ko for 2 years pero, civil engineer experience ako sa first job ko not structural. I'm considering to choose civil engineer sa EA skills assessment ko para considered na sa RSEA yung sa first job ko and under civil engineer parin naman ang "structural engineer"? parang more general?. asking for your insights thank you in advance.

Yeah I'm pretty sure. Saw this on the immi page as well

No. You need to be in Australia to be considered local experience.

Good day everyone. Ask ko lang po kung may pwede po makatulong sakin or advice regarding sa work experience ko.

I'm a Licensed Civil Engineer here sa PH pero yung work experience ko for about 6+ years is related lang sa Quantity Surveyor (QS) na work.

    Thanks!

@jelatissimoo 1.yes, it is true being assessed by EA is more streamline than AIQS. you just have to follow the MSA booklet 2020. 2. Please take note QS job descriptions are part within the big umbrella scope of works of Civil Engineering professional (ANZSCO 2332 you can google it), so creating CDR made from your QS professional work experience could be done, as long as you strictly follow the competency elements stipulated on Professional Engineer Element in MSA Booklet. 3. best example such as- quantity take off the construction materials i.e concrete, rebars, formworks etc. (this is complying competency element of using mathematics or engineering programs or any software. 4. bottom line just follow the MSA booklet, this served as your bible in creating your CDR. I am a civil engineer with QS experience and have gotten Professional Engineer skill assessment from EA.

Bale po currently kasi CE independent contractor ako for a foreign client. I'm considering myself as a self-employed professional. one company lang po kumbaga pinagttrabahuan ko pero considered as a contractor-CE/estimator ako.

Ngayon po, yung1 career ep ko is about my current job, need pa rin po ba yung reference letter with the company's letterhead and head/manager's signature or magsuffice na po kahit yung contract ko?

This is because currently employed ako dito, and somehow nakakhiya sa current manager namin na magpapirma ko since parang pangitain ba na aalis na rin sa current job, baka maging harsh na sya sakin sa work lol.

    Thank you in advance!

I’m not sure if I understood your post…if you’re employed then you’re employed. You cannot choose to be self employed if you’re not at all self employed.
