Any Idea About Bridging Visa?

Hi I am currently holding a Student Visa and applied for a Partner's visa giving me a bridging Visa Type A. Just wondering kasi may Medicare na ko can I cancel my OSHC and get a refund sa June pa mag eexpire ung student Visa ko. and do i still need to go back to school on April 24 to June 8? To study although sa original COE ko end na ng last term ung April 8 they will just issue me a new COE kasi nakadeferral ako atm for 6 monhts. Any ideas?

My Timeline: Visa Type: 572 (Certificate of Aged Care III & IV)
Oct. 16, 2014 - Paid my IELTS exam
Nov. 12, 2014 - Speaking Test IELTS
Nov. 13, 2014 - R,L,W IELTS TEST
Nov. 14, 2014 - Application Form Sent To Academia International (MelBourne)
Nov. 26, 2014 - Offer Letter Received
- IELTS Results: L-8 R-6.5 W-6 S-6 Overall = 6.5
Nov. 29, 2014 - Medicals Done @ NHS Makati
Dec. 5 2014- Medicals Submitted all ok

  • Tuition Fee Paid via BPI, Offer Accepted & Submitted
    Dec. 8 2014 - COE received
    Dec. 18 2014 - Lodged Visa Application @ AMS
    Jan. 12 2015 - Additional Medicals Test Requested
    Jan. 13 2015 - Medicals Done
    Jan. 30 2015 - Visa Granted No Interview Thank you Lord :) My Birthday :)
    Feb 6 2015 - Arrival in Melbourne :)

    Your present substantive visa is your student visa and your bridging visa will only take effect when your student visa will expire by june. And yes you still need to go to school ( as a student visa holder).... However in order to have peace of mind, better make a call to dibp to clarify such issue. God bless

    you are right, yun nga sabi ng Immi sa akin. bale pwede na kong magstop kahit di na tapusin ung Course basta expire na student Visa ko. Ty po sa reply :)

    Pwede na po ba magapply ng medicare kahit hnd pa expired ung student visa basta nasubmit na ung partner visa application?
