Hi. Ask ko lang po. Kaka submit ko lang ng application ko for tourist visa, but Im planning to take a 2 week medical leave habang nag pprocess, iveverify ba ng embassy sa work ko if naka medical leave ako or ivverify lang naman if employed ako sa company? Thank you

@Tsunade I doubt if they even do the verification. Random siguro for audit purposes. Sa experience ko dito they put greater emphasis on what you put and sign in your application as a legal document. If later on it is discovered that you misrepresented something in a document that you signed, it will come back to you.

Besides, wala naman pong issue if you go on medical leave to process your papers. That would be an issue between you and your company if they chose to make it so.

@vanessajoy Yes, visa is valid for 1 year with a maximum of 3 months stay per visit. Regarding a short exit tapos balik agad, technically, pwede... pero pwede kang maharang sa immigration at kailangan mong patunayan na "valid tourism" activity ang pagbabalik mo.

hi @cucci :) Have you ever met or read about someone who applied for PR while on a tourist visa? Sounds crazy but I haven't really thought of it before.

Like currently on a 1 year TV, eoi was applied offshore, invited offshore, flew to AU then lodged PR. Possible? :)

@dy3p Been waiting for someone to post an experience like that. Visitor (600) to 457, yes, because that's what happened to me.

Since there seems to be no restriction about lodging a PR visa (186, 189, 190) onshore, nor expressed conditions on Visitor visa holders not to lodge a permanent visa while onshore, I think it is possible. I have read some posts that prospective marriage visas need that the applicant be outside Au at the time of grant, as such informs applicants who are onshore to exit.

Also, when I was on visitor visa and applied for 457 while onshore, a BVA without work rights was issued, but I was able to request work rights by applying and submitting proof of financial hardship. I guess, the same can happen to a visitor visa holder applying for PR visa onshore.

Just to be clear, this is not dogma... just sharing my thoughts.

@vanessajoy As long as your entry is a valid tourism activity, you can come back anytime during the validity of your visa but you may stopped and questioned by immigration and asked to provide proof.

@vanessajoy Since it is a social visit, kung tanungin just tell the immigration officer the reason... pag may doubt sila tatawagan naman si bf to confirm your story. At least yan napapanood ko sa Border Security tv show.

Ang iniiwasan kasi ay yung mga naka-visitor visa at nagtatrabaho ka kaya exit at bumalik agad kasi matatapos na ang 3 months max stay per visit.

@AkawntantAnne If I understood correctly, this question is relevant if you intend to apply for a long term visitor visa. Like if you intend to go back after the initial 3 months or if applying for more than the regular 3 months to 1 year validity. As such, you are being asked about the significant dates that you intend to enter Au again. If you don't intend to re-enter after the initial three months or you are not sure a NO answer would suffice.

Ask ko lang, I currently have Tourist Visa (multiple entry) and travelling to Australia ngaun friday however, may pending Student Visa application ako (waiting for decision nalang), okay lang ba un papasok ng Australia using Tourist Visa (valid pa naman until oct 2019 and may return ticket to philippines din ako if ever di ma approve student visa)?

Enrolled na ako sa University, naka pag book kasi ako ng ticket way way back before ako nag plan na mag school.

Walang "NO FURTHER STAY" sa VISA conditions ko as Tourist.
