Male Nurses chances of being hired after BP compare to female nurse.

Good day sa lahat! im a male nurse presently working abroad (middle east) for 5 years now (2 years exp in ph + 5 years midest), 28 y.o., married and planning to do the bridging program in aus. inaantay ko nlng po ung ielts at pag pinalad mg submit sa aphra then mg BP ng ilan mos kung anung desisyon ng ANMC. tanong ko lng po sa mga nsa aus na or doing bp ngaun. anu po b ang chances ma hired as male nurse compare to female. i min anu ms prefer ng mga hospital o clinics sa australia? advice pls. thanks!

doesnt matter.. in our unit sa icu ang daming kayang lalaki! discrimination yan if may preference..hahaha! di ka naman mag apply as breast examiner or pap smear tester diba? hehehehe!

i wouldnt know about the visas after bp kasi galing akong nz eh dun ako nag hanap ng work going to oz and didnt leave nz until may start date na work ko in sydney.
but took me awhile to find a job while in nz given that i have been working in nz for 3-4 years na din. pero while in ur bp try applying na for jobs.. dont wait until it finishes anyway at least that way sabihin mu lang when end date ng bp para may interview ka naka line up after the bp.
sa hospital namin walang masyadong pinoy.. 2 lng ata kami sa entire children's hospital pero sa adults marami.
may pinoy doctors nga sa adult hospital katabi namin sa kids kasi kami..di ata type ng mga pinoy kids hospital eh:)

@Rommel1982 bro student visa ka ngaun? anu course mu dian? nababasa ko kc sa threads 3 mos lng bp bka pd ko dun kc mf 7 years exp na dn me as nurse pero f d tlga mg student vis nlng ako para ms madali. anu b mgnda course/voc course sa medical field na leading to pr? some insights pls tnx!

si rommel is full time bsn student.. 3 years nursing sya on a student visa. tuition is 20k aud a year. but family ni rommel is here na to help him.

dft..if you have the necessary experience, take the ielts and do the 3 months BP rather than hanging around here in on longer course kasi nurse is paid about 30aud per hour here then if minimum wage or part timer ka on a student visa that's only 18 aud per hour.. super laki ng difference and all you need is the bp and ielts to be registered nurse. you have the necessary experience na eh.

also.. it's not that easy to find part time work unless ok lang sa iyo to clean houses and such..pero my take is bakit mu gustong gawin nyan na with ielts and bp na 3 months eh pwdi kanang ma registered nurse kahit na let's say after you finish the bp di ka agad maka hanap ng work..yung license naman is renewable every year, once you have it you can't lose it.

so even if like some na umuwi pa ng pinas kasi di talaga nakahanap ng work agad after bp, most of them naman after a couple of months sa pinas balik agad sa au on a 457 visa kasi naka hanap na ng employer. once licensed ka na as nurse, it's not that hard naman to find a job..2-3 months top and most people go home lang kasi kulang either sa funds or di sila nka extend ng visa pero like i said even if maka uwi ka sa pinas you can continue job hunting from there.

EN wala yan sa SOL list dapat RN for PR pathway.. best thing to do after finishing EN course study ka ulet for RN then at the same time work ka as EN..

E.N. is a dying profession... Just saying;) always an issue on the nursing magazines here in au. May need ng e.n but every year their scopes get smaller hence more companies do not want to hire them anymore.

Mam, ask ko lang po, ang experience ko is purely sa clinical instruction, naging CI ako right after I graduated and had my license. Tapos I did lecture and clinical duty with students. Is it considered for BP? Im worried it will not work for me and I will be required further studies which is more expensive. What do you think?

And also, in BP, can I bring my partner? Or the moment na that I get a job (sponsored)?

I was a clinical instructor for 2.6 years. So is it considered as a nursing experience? May mga friends na rin ako na andyan and prior experience is ung clinical instructor job lang talaga. And some worked on hospitals while i went for airline as FA.
