Tips/Advice on Getting an Accommodation to New Migrants

Hi all. I'm moving to Sydney early next year holding an SN-Subclass 190 Visa. Gusto ko lang humingi ng tips or advice kung pano ako makakakuha ng unit na marerentahan ko. Based on my initial research, hahanapan daw ng mga real estate agents ang mga potential clients ng rental history , e syempre wala pa naman ako nun.

May advice po ba kayo kung ano dapat gawin at ano dapat iproduce na documents ng mga new migrants para makakuha ng unit for rent. Wala rin po kasi akong friends sa Sydney.

Single ka lang b? may mga room for rent naman check ka lang.
Mas malayo sa city mas mura.. sa city ang alam ko rent rate is about 300-500 one room single occupant.

@lucid2010 Yes. I'm single. May makikipagdeal kaya sken while offshore/overseas. Ang initial plan ko kasi, a maghostel muna for 1 or 2 weeks pagdating ko Sydney. Then I'll take it from there na maghanap ng unit or room or work. Ok ba yun? Hehe.

@itscarlo possible yung idea mo pero try mo din habang offshore e contact mo yung prospect mong rentahan and ask if it is possible to transact while offshore.

oo naman, try mo ung mga accomodation dito madami naman pinoy. and basta may pambayad ka hahaha... usually inclusive na lahat ang rent per week or fortnightly.

hanap ka bandang blacktown or parramatta madami na po pinoy dun.. hnap lang mababait naman sila.

@Hunter_08 Ok thank you. Currently, sobrang nagreresearch talaga ako kung pano. Since wala akong relatives / friends sa Sydney .

@lucid2010 ok thank you. pero malamang 1 luggage lng dala ko (basics lang dadalhin ko). kais naisip ko na rin yan. mahirap gumalaw kapag maraming dala masyado. If ever na nag rent ako ng room for the meantime, pede ba sya ipresent sa mga real estate agents as "rental history"?

pag mag aagent kna @itscarlo need ng background check from landlord mo dati, visa mo, contract, tpos background check from friends. Kunwari may nakita ka sa site, cocontact mo ung agent then mag iinspection ka. Tapos madami kayo magiinspect depende kung sau mabigay un room na prospect mo.

ito signup ka lang jan meron jan magbbayad ka para instantly magrereply sau ung mga vacant rooms. mas mabilis, meron jan naghahanap ng teamup hanap ng unit.

sali ka sa pinoyau sa FB tpos magpost ka... may magrereply sau dun for sure. Sabihin mo budget mo and time ng pagdating mo.
