kuya @danyan2001us how long does it take for settling down, say 2-3 months? Do i have to upgrade my oshc and show a bank statement for them? Btw kuya I'm heading to Sydney..but if you have parties in Melbourne we can go over to your place :P Thanks again!
It really depends on you kung gaano ka katagal maka settle down at saka ka na kuha ng oshc ng pamilya mo the moment maglodge ka na ng visa nila

Hi ulit kuya @danyan2001us if me and my husband will apply together first, how much chance do we get for approval? Sorry if I had a lot of questions because right now we are deciding whether to apply as a whole family or not and this will be my last offer since I already deferred 3 times (due to personal circumstances), and we already gave deposit to the University. Thanks again. :)

The approval of your application will not rely on you having applied as a single entity or as a couple, rather it all depends on your docs and other pertinent materials such as funds and medical condition. Having said that, i would say it is more positive for you to have your hubby around for support purposes. Good luck

    Hello everyone!

I am also planning to go into this pathway and I am still at initial stages.
I will be taking IELTS test this coming July and hopefully have good passing grades.
I am opting for February 2017 intake.

I am planning to pursue a master's of engineering at UTAS.
But this is my question to all of you who have also gone by this pathway.
My university, unfortunately falls on "section 2", so it is not credited as an equal to an Australian Bachelor's degree.
However , in order to cope up with this issue, I have already been working for already 14 years under my specific field in which 8 years were spent at a MNC here in Phils. and 5 years abroad ( 3 different consulting companies) . And I will be including my CV (together with all certificate of employment) in my master's application to the university. I will be using my work experience as leverage so they would accept my application.

Will I get accepted in the university for master's?

I am really hoping that they will not be that strict.

I tried to ask IDP here in Cebu but they were very busy with many applicants as of the moment.

    Please help anyone.

I think it would be an advantage for you to be in australia already. @agentKams thus don't worry so much sbout that but to have peace of mind, i would suggest you make a call to DIBP to clarify your situation and to have peace of mind.!

@danyan2001us Hi po kuya.. I have been back reading the thread, and i'm in the same path. under 573 visa and hoping to fast track my course and finish by next year. ask ko lang po sana regarding 485 visa, are there any refusals on this visa? kasi as i have researched before, it is entitled to higher ed students tama po ba? and ask ko lang din po sana if within the 2 years 485 visa can you apply for PR? or dapat matapos muna ang 2 years? once po ba nag apply na ng point system for PR ma iinvalid na agad ang 485? thanks po and sorry sa madaming tanong :)

@markier87 hi bro actually it's not really for saving but for making it sure that you can stay legally in australia. When you submit your eoi, it doesn't give you any bridging visa the moment your substantive visa expires so you have no choice but to leave australia. And it is the other way around when you are in 485 visa, you are allowed to stay here for two years or more.

@danyan2001us kuya Dan, ang ibig nyo po ba sabihin after finishing your studies ay apply 485 to extend your stay in oz and while you are in 485 visa, try applying for 190 (PR) po?

@Timalan ..... Yes you are right. May friend kami na nagsubmit ng eoi pero hindi pa naimbitahan so wala sya choice kung hindi mag 485 to continue his stay onshore. Ang paglodge kasi ng eoi ay hindi pa nabibigyan ng bridging visa so if di na maimbitahan then you need to go home.
