i want to study in au. ang option na pasok na pasok sa budget ko eh vet, sa kent initially ko gusto mag study. 28 weeks ang duration ng course (so 7 months sya) course is marketing, tama ba na after cert 4, kunin ko yung diploma, tas adv diploma? sa tingin mo, anong visa pwede ko iapply after this?
2nd option na inooffer sakin ng agency is masteral, which is $40k for 2 years[, naluluha ako isipin. baka di ko kayanin, sa kalagitnaan hindi ko na maituloy.
what can you say about graduate certificate? okay din kaya yun kesa masteral?
i mean, my brother will support me sa tuition, but sa una lang. the succeeding months, ako na sa sarili ko.
ano kaya sa tingin mo?
thanks, sana mapansin mo post ko

nabasa ko itong post mo and i'd like to comment.
if your goal is post-grad visa later on, you've got to bear in mind three things: do not do anything below a diploma level. second, the duration should not be below two years or 92 weeks so you should package that diploma with another course if it's less than two years. focus on courses that are on the occupation list and aligns with your previous study or experience.
you may also want to consider studying in a regional areas. that will help you with your PR application in the future by giving you bonus points.
If you can do master's degree, do it. It matters to how long you'd be able to stay on a post-grad visa.
Post-Study Work stream
This visa lasts for two to four years, depending on the highest qualification you used to apply for this visa:
Bachelor Degree, Bachelor Degree with Honours, Masters by Coursework Degree or Masters (extended) Degree – your visa is valid for two years
Masters by Research Degree– your visa is valid for three years
Doctoral Degree – your visa is valid for four years.
Kung PR ang target, there are some states that will sponsor you for PR if you study a postgraduate course in the masters level and up that's in demand sa state.
Would be happy interest to know what your background (education and work experience/s) para mas more precise ang suggestions for you.
All the best, Lara!

Medtech po ako with 1yr working experience.
I chose to study Masters degree in australia then work as a medtech hoping na makaapply for PR.
Target ko po November intake, Master of Public Health.
Kahit both lang naman po makakakuha ng 60points? Salamat po sa pagsagot. Nahihirapan na po kasi ako magdecide gusto ko po sana talaga sa November. Godbless us all

There are only two courses accredited:
RMIT UNIVERSITY
Master of Laboratory Medicine (AIMS accreditation requirements must be complied with)
(No extra points for the location)
5 points for 2 year study requirement
UNIVERSITY OF TASMANIA
Master of Laboratory Medicine (Professional Experience Sequence) (From 1 July 2017)
Possible extra points you can get if you go for University of Tasmania.
5 points for meeting the 2 year study requirement
5 additional points if they complete 2 years of study in a regional area
Hope this helps.

the question is, do you already have a positive assessment? that's your ticket. if you're migrating using your profession (lab tech/med tech), im not sure if you will get a positive assessment with your current qualification (if you haven't already). MPH does not add to your being lab tech/med tech as far as occupation assessment is concerned.
you will get extra 5 points for whatever course provided that it's minimum 2 years (dip level up).
hope that makes sense. start with qualification assessment (if you haven't already done so).

Do they give consideration in the rank for having an invite to those who got into a level 1 university or it doesnt matter as long as you finished a 2yr-course and scored a minimum of 60pts?
Thank you.

Hello and thank you @filsgoz I am migrating as a student and then will apply for Skilled independent visa 189 (if ever) after finishing my course. - You better rethink this. "the government’s changes from March 2018 make it harder for foreign students to stay on after their studies". Posted this as a thread itself. Read here.
Do they give consideration in the rank for having an invite to those who got into a level 1 university or it doesnt matter as long as you finished a 2yr-course and scored a minimum of 60pts?
I can only assume what you're asking kasi di ko maintindihan ang tanong. I don't know who you are referring to with 'they'. I don't know what you mean by 'give consideration in the rank for having an invite'.
If you are asking whether you graduating from a level 1 university will give you preference to be invited for 189? The answer is no. DIBP doesn't care if you graduated from a level 1, 2 or 3 uni. It only cares whether you've got positive assessment for your qualification/skills. The assessing body cares about whether you graduated from level 1 uni.
"or it doesnt matter as long as you finished a 2yr-course and scored a minimum of 60pts"
It matters that you have positive assessment of your qualification. On that note, finishing from a level 1 uni matters. Finishing 2 years study here in Australia on a Diploma and above level (AQF Level 5 and up) contributes to your points and therefore giving you better chances for a 189. Getting the right course as well matters and that's what I was telling you in previous post. If you are using being MedTech as key for a PR visa, you should take the accredited course because as you stand now (A uni degree plus 1 year experience post qualification), I am not confident that you will get a positive assessment.
This is just my opinion and I'm only basing this from a very limited info that I know about your situation. Anyone who can contribute, please do so.

If you're saying 'kasi educ then IT', you should really ask yourself that question first and clarify your goal. And if you're clear with what you want to do, i'm sure you can very well explain them why you chose IT.
If natatakot ka dahil your intention is really not to be a genuine temporary entrant (GTE), you've got to resolve than yourself. If you can't then explore options like coming in as a teacher.
If you're fearful of rejection and needs encouragement, if you backread the forum thread, you'll see inspiring stories of courage and just-taking-the-leap-of-faith.
If you're just unsure, backread, research, and then ask specific questions that others here in the forum are more than willing to help you with (visa application process, how to produce requirements as prescribed by TAFE/institute).

Nag try na ako magpa assess sa kanila ng student visa (Master in Professional Accounting) way back 2012 or 2013 yata. Nagbayad ako ng assessment fee (hindi ko na matandaan how much) then inexplain nila lahat doon. Ang alam ko kapag na approved student visa mo ay yung services lang na yun babayaran mo that time (2012 or 2013) nasa 23,000 pesos yata yun. Ang required show money that time is 1.5Million for MPA coursework then free ang review ng IELTS. Try mo na lang din check ang website nila amsglobalinc.com or tawagan mo na lang for inquiry. Good luck!
