@cheng1003 Kung magmothercraft nurse ka, maybe ask the agency kung anong state ang open. Tapos check mo rin kung ano ang hinahanap ng VETASSESS to get a positive assessment. Then check the state requirement kng mamemeet mo ba yung skill/work experience/etc nila. If you don't have a complicated situation, i would suggest to do it on your own. Kung gagamit ka ng agency, added gastos kasi yun for you. Try to check kung may naaapprove ba and kng gaano katagal ang processing. Wala kasi akong makitang government website/resources to read on it. Kung meron man, magkakasaliwa naman info nila. Do a lot of research before you engage. :) All the best.

@cheng1003 Just be careful especially with the pathway that you're planning to take. Hindi biro yung bibitawan mong pera..Paano ka pala iaassess kung hindi ka employed as mothercraft nurse? I don't want to be negative but I'm just concerned na masasayang pera at oras mo. Have they told you na may nagrant na ng PR at may state na open for such? Come to think of it, kung madali lang yang pathway na yan and mas mura how come almost all if not all pinipiling magbridging and conversion course.. Think it through,

@cheng1003 Huwag mong panghinayangan yung wala pa. PR application is a process and it takes time. Not because, sinabi ng agency eh totoo na, you have to do your research kasi at the end of the day ikaw ang affected hindi naman yung agency. Ang dali nilang sabihin because of course they're after the money but whether you believe it or not its not that easy... It's not about choosing between PR before bridging or the other, but choosing what will surely lead you to become one. :)

I would still suggest sa mga overseas nurse to do the bridging rather than risk their money and time for something that is unclear and unsure. At least, pag natapos ka ng bridging alam mong may papupuntahan effort at pera mo. Walang nakukuha sa madalian. If you really want something you have to strive, invest and work hard for it.. :)

hi @janinlee! thanks for ur feedback! did you go to a hospital there for the serological tests or merong preffered provider and school mo? I was thinking din na baka expensive kc kapag diyan,. good thing now I have an idea how much thanks to you. Were you able to complete the form without any difficulties?
Sa NSW ka po ba mag-aaral? pretty much we have the same immunisation card na require nang mga NSW hospitals for students who will undergo nursing placements..

Can i have my serology & immunization done in any hospital (im currently working in Singapore)
    or ETEA has preffered provider?
    Thanks!

    Good day po sa lahat!

I would like to inquire for my husband and para din po ma enlighten kami.

Husband is 29 yrs old, ER nurse from 2010 to present, pero plano niya wag na mag renew bali hanggang June this year nalang, gusto na niya mag resign. in between may isang taon siya sa RN heals. ako nman po ay teacher with 2yrs exp. yung sa IELTS po may idea na kami sa band score and next batch na po kami mag review. tanong ko lang po.

    1. bridging po ba ang mauuna bago ang assessment? yan po kasi ang sabi sa amin, eh nakaklito lang kasi diba may assessment din if eligble ba siya to take bridging? which is which?

    2. paano namin malalaman if pwde siya mag take ng bridging?

    3. what visa ang dapat namin applyan para maka pag bridging sa Au na pwde madala ang asawa at anak? If student visa 500 po ang kunin namin, may idea po ba kayo pano ang show money? kasi diba pag visa 500 ang show money includes:

1yr cost of living + 1yr tuition + return airfare (if my accompanying member add pa yun)

    4. so paano po kung hindi nman aabutin ng isang taon ang bridging? ano po magiging basihan ng show money?

    5. if under student visa 500 pa din kami and tapos na ang bridging course and AU registered nurse na, pwde na kaya mag apply na ng skilled independent visa 189 or need pa umuwi ng pinas at dito na mag process?

    6. Yung sa bridging program tuition fee po ba ay spot cash or staggered payment like sa normal courses?

maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sasagot. God bless po!

    1. bridging po ba ang mauuna bago ang assessment? yan po kasi ang sabi sa amin, eh nakaklito lang kasi diba may assessment din if eligble ba siya to take bridging? which is which?

    A. First is to take IELTS Academic, 7.0 min on all bands
    B. Apply for the AHPRA registration: https://www.ahpra.gov.au/registration/registration-process/registration-requirements.aspx
    http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Codes-Guidelines-Statements/FAQ/FAQ-IQNM-bridging-program.aspx
    C. Fill up AGOS 40 form together with all the evidences, pay reg fee via credit card, apply fit2work clearance
    D. Submit it by mail to AHPRA
    E. Some documents like PRC Good standing should be mailed directly and separately to AHPRA ( do not include this in your application)
    F. Expectedly, AHPRA will inform you that you are not eligible for registration and will refer you to take an NMBA approved bridging program/ IRON prog.
    G. Choose a university/ school where you can take the IRON prog & present the referral letter given by AHPRA
    http://www.ahpra.gov.au/Education/Approved-Programs-of-Study.aspx?ref=Nurse&Type=Bridging&div=Registered Nurse (Division 1)
    F. School will give you an offer letter , pay tuition fee, school will give you COE or confirmation of enrollment to be attached in your visa application. You also need to get a health insurance coverage based on the duration of your stay. i got NIB health insurance, its the cheapest.

    2. paano namin malalaman if pwde siya mag take ng bridging?

    3. what visa ang dapat namin applyan para maka pag bridging sa Au na pwde madala ang asawa at anak? If student visa 500 po ang kunin namin, may idea po ba kayo pano ang show money? kasi diba pag visa 500 ang show money includes:

1yr cost of living + 1yr tuition + return airfare (if my accompanying member add pa yun)

it should be student visa 500 regardless of your chosen course of study, Usually 3-4 months stay lang ang ibibigay ng dibp since 3 months lang ang duration ng bridging program. I suggest na wag muna isama ang family. You also need to satisfy the GTE or genuine temporary entrant requirement.
    4. so paano po kung hindi nman aabutin ng isang taon ang bridging? ano po magiging basihan ng show money?

    5. if under student visa 500 pa din kami and tapos na ang bridging course and AU registered nurse na, pwde na kaya mag apply na ng skilled independent visa 189 or need pa umuwi ng pinas at dito na mag process?

After passing the bridging program, you need to re-register sa AHPRA so you can have the AU RN title, pwede ka na magpa sponsor via 457 visa sa employer OR magpa ANMAC assessment ka na, once you received the suitable for migration report from ANMAC, you can now submit EOI for 189 skilled independent/ 190 state nominated, receive Invitation to apply and later on lodge your PR visa.
    6. Yung sa bridging program tuition fee po ba ay spot cash or staggered payment like sa normal courses?

in my case sa uni ko, ETEA, 50% down upon receiving offer letter and the balance is payable before the course completion.
maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sasagot. God bless po!

I can refer you to a friend who happens to be an education agent in AU. He can help you free of charge with the school/uni where you can take the iron prog. Email jason chua [email protected]

    Hope this helps, God bless.

Certified copies would be fine as per AHPRA guidelines. Do not send original documents and Please ensure all supporting documents are on A4 size paper

Just sharing, For those who needs a notary public for their documents, if your near makati CBD, you can have your documents notarized at Unit 6H, 6th floor parking area Cityland Herrera Tower, V.A Rufino corner Valero sts, Makati. Open sila 9-5pm. 20 pesos lang per page. They are familiar with AHPRA document certification. Contact ms. Shiela, 09166022277. I personally availed of their notarization for my ahpra, etc.

That is also my worry. I might have problems in looking for a job as a nurse after mag bridging. Nagtanong tanong ako and they said na madami daw jobs for nurses dun lalo na sa aged care or home for the aged. Same salary and mas mataas pa nga daw minsan.

I hope someone who took bridging program can answer this. :)
