Question lang sa lahat kung may nakapag try na magbook for PTE exam sa Trident Makati na hindi nacacancel for this month up to July? I just took PTE recently. I had IELTS last year. Both one take only so maybe i don't have enough grounds for assessment. I was able to score proficient in IELTS (band no lower than 7) and score superior in PTE (score no lower than 79).
Here's my take. Without considering how they are scored, I would say IELTS is easier, way simpler, and a truer test of English - (will go back to this later). PTE on the other hand is more tedious, has more question types, and questions/tasks alone are harder.
What is true, in my opinion, is that PTE has more lenient scoring system than IELTS, this is why it seems PTE is easier to ace. IELTS is graded by native English speakers while PTE is totally AI evaluated. I said IELTS is a truer test of English because a native speaker will assess your actual English, while in PTE, you can deceive the AI by using templates even if it contains totally nonsense content or repeated templates. At least this is apparent for the speaking parts of both test.
I say, if my PTE performance will be graded by IELTS, there's no way it is in a caliber of a superior English.
TLDR, PTE is just thankfully easier to ace than IELTS.

Ganyan nangyari sa akin. Actually, 78 sa Reading 1 point n lng superior na lahat. Quick advise lang, since ok ka na sa lahat except Reading, take time kn lng sa Reading part at huwag masyadong magmadali. Ultimo MCMA at MCSA i-review at kuhaan ng points. Mag spent k max 2 mins lalo kung tricky question.

Hello po. Ganyan din nangyari sakin sa 1st take, kinapos sa Reading. Focus ka sa RFIB, FIB, and RO. Ang nakahelp din sakin na trick is
1. If hindi ako sure or halos pareho yung mga choices for FIB at RFIB, nitry ko sabihin in my head yung sentence using the different options at kung ano pinakamaganda ang tunog (lalo if di ako familiar sa collocation)
2. Subject verb agreement: Mas narurule out at lumiliit yung word choices ko if nadetermine ko ano yung magfifit sa word. Example, If yung blank is before a verb, most of the time, yung blank then can be an adverb or preposition or adjective.
3. Ito hindi proven, pero ang napansin ko sa MCSA at MCMA ay laging incorrect ang may choices na 'very', 'implicated', 'argued'. Laging fair or neutral ang choices, yung may 'compares', 'presented', etc.

Also for reading (and listening) in MCMA, don't forget na right minus wrong ang point system ng PTE. Kung di ka sure sa isang choice na sagot, wag mo ng i-check dahil ibabawas yun sa tamang sagot mo per item. Mas okay pa na isang sure na sagot lang sa MCMA kung nanghuhula ka lang.

Before COVID, i heard UK is also planning to implement a point system skilled migration by 2021 due to Brexit effect. Pero nasa initial stage of planning pa lang and baka ma offset pa dahil sa covid. So yung bata pa jan, may potential other choice pa kung sakali. haha.
